Don’t worry, this is a commonly asked question. Heeled shoes or leather soled shoes of any sort are obviously not an option. We recommend rubber soled and enclosed shoes like sneakers, runners or hiking boots - ones you’ll feel comfortable in, every step of the way.
Is there a bridge climb age limit?
Yes. Children need to be eight years of age, at least 120 centimetres tall and accompanied by a paying adult. Teens wanting to join the Sydney harbour bridge climb aged 16 and above will need to pay adult prices.
How hard is bridge climbing?
Well if kids can do it, then you can too! Surely focusing on the breathtaking views ahead will be enough encouragement?! Just be aware that the bridge climb duration generally runs for three and a half hours, so if you feel that your fitness is up to it, then give it a shot. Over 75 years of age? As a precaution, you’ll need to provide certificate of fitness from your GP.
