Feel the breeze in your hair as you sail aboard a luxury catamaran to the breathtaking waters that surround Rottnest Island. Relax, swim, kayak or snorkel whilst at anchor in one of the many picturesque bays. Note: This is a fully water based experience approx 8 hours in duration (8am to 4pm).

You are invited to travel some 10 nautical miles off the Fremantle coast to the picturesque, stunning waters that surround Rottnest Island. Your vessel is a luxury appointed 12.5m Schionning catamaran equipped with water toys, snorkel equipment and a lowerable front ladder for easy access into the water. There is a luxuriously appointed saloon and spacious wide bows perfect for afternoon naps in the sun. Get ready to drop anchor in one of the many picturesque bays to enable you to take every opportunity to enjoy our luxury catamaran - swim, snorkel, sail or just relax on the large bows or the rear shaded deck. Learn about local marine life from experienced guides. Try your hand at raising and lowering the sails. Morning tea are lunch are included. Tour duration is approximately 8 hours which includes sailing there/back (1.5-2hrs each way). Note: tour does not disembark on the island. It is a fully water based day out.

Restrictions

A reasonable degree of fitness and mobility is required for boarding and moving around the boat, as well as accessing the toilet which is located down a small set of stairs. It is your responsibility to disclose any medical conditions that may impact your ability to safely participate in activities. Pregnancy: Expectant guests who are 28-36 weeks pregnant will require medical clearance to board. Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate anyone over 36 weeks gestation. Limit of 8 per group booking. Tour is strictly non smoking and non vaping.

Guidelines

A buffet lunch is served which includes a variety of meats, salads, cakes and other items. Guests are also welcome to BYO food or snacks.
Please advise us of any serious allergies (i.e. anaphylaxis) that the crew need to be aware of
Please advise us of any pre existing injuries or medical conditions. A doctors clearance may be required before boarding.
You must arrive AT LEAST 20 minutes prior to your scheduled departure time. Allow extra time for traffic and parking, as we cannot hold the boat up if you are running late. Missed bookings will not be eligible to rebook.
This is a fully water based activity. The vessel does not disembark at the Rottnest Island jetty
Tour requires crossing through open water. If you have any concerns about seasickness please speak to a pharmacist well in advance of your day. Some medications need to be taken 24 hours prior.

Tours proceed in all conditions provided the operator deems it is safe. If postponement is required for safety reasons, you will be contacted by the operator.

Dress Code

It is advisable to bring a warm pullover or jacket - ocean conditions can become cool quickly, especially after sunset. Sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat are recommended. Note: sailing is a barefoot activity. The crew will advise where to stow shoes once onboard.

Such a wonderful day on New Year's Eve, wonderful way to sign off on 2025. Perfect weather conditions. This was a birthday gift for my beloved husband. Staff were very attentive. Highly recommend this excursion for fun and relaxation.

Our family loved this experience, it kicked off our first trip to Perth with a bang. It was perfect for our children as well as my husband and I as we could both relax and and be as physically active as we wanted. Great Crew and food supplied!!!

Thank you so much for having me aboard and showcasing the beauty of Rottnest Island and its surrounding waters. The staff were lovely and obviously keen for all passengers to have a great time. I was well fed, entertained and comfortable throughout my time with Charter 1. However, swimming with the sea loins was definitely the highlight! Clarity of what the tour entails and an approximate return time could help patrons know what to expect (not actually landing on the island) and plan their day. Many Thanks!

This tour is totally worth it! Our friendly crew Jules and Georgia looked after us all day long. Stand up paddle boarding, kayaking, boom netting, snorkelling and swimming with Sea Lions was incredible. Water is exactly like the photo - pure, crisp, crystal clear! Tanning or relaxing in the cabin soaking in the scenery and watching the sea lion pup do back flips! SENSATIONAL!

We were very happy with the experience. Sadly the weather wasn’t in our favour, but we still enjoyed being aboard the Capella, with Luka & Lilly. We would definitely recommend these guys, and will be booking a twilight sail sometime soon.

This experience was incredible, definitely once in a life time opportunity and well worth the price paid! On top of an incredible day we were served amazing lunch and morning tea. I recommend this to all types of families as you will never find a more picturesque $229 opportunity.
