Feel the breeze in your hair as you sail aboard a luxury catamaran to the breathtaking waters that surround Rottnest Island. Relax, swim, kayak or snorkel whilst at anchor in one of the many picturesque bays. Note: This is a fully water based experience.

You are invited to travel some 15 nautical miles off the Fremantle coast to the unique and stunning waters surrounding Rottnest Island. Your vessel is a luxury appointed 12.5m Schionning catamaran equipped with water toys, snorkel equipment and a lowerable front ladder for easy access into the water. There is a luxuriously appointed saloon, fully equipped galley and large refrigerator in the cockpit deck for drinks. Get ready to drop anchor in one of the many picturesque bays to enable you to take every opportunity to enjoy our luxury catamaran - swim, snorkel, sail, kayak, SUP or just relax on the large bows or the rear shaded deck. Learn about local marine life from experienced guides, or try your hand at raising and lowering the sails. Morning tea are lunch are provided. This tour takes approximately 8 hours and includes approx 1.5hrs sailing each way. Note: this tour does not disembark on the island, it is a marine park eco tour.

Restrictions

A reasonable degree of fitness and mobility is required for boarding and moving around the boat, as well as accessing the toilet which is located down a small set of stairs. It is your responsibility to disclose any medical conditions that may impact your ability to safely participate in activities. Pregnancy: Expectant guests who are 28-36 weeks pregnant will require medical clearance to board. Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate anyone over 36 weeks gestation.

Guidelines

  • A buffet lunch is served which includes a variety of meats, salads, cakes and other items. Guests are also welcome to BYO food or drinks (no spirits).
  • Please advise us of any serious allergies (i.e. anaphylaxis) that the crew need to be aware of
  • Please advise us of any pre existing injuries or medical conditions. A doctors clearance may be required before boarding.
  • You must arrive AT LEAST 15 minutes prior to your scheduled departure time. Allow extra time for traffic and parking, as we cannot hold the boat up if you are running late.
  • This is a fully water based activity. The vessel does not disembark at the Rottnest Island jetty
  • Tour requires crossing through open water. If you have any concerns about seasickness please speak to a pharmacist well in advance of your day. Some medications need to be taken 24 hours prior.
  • Tour requires minimum numbers to proceed. If this is not reached we will contact you in the days prior to discuss options

Cancellation

  • Change your booking up to 7 days before the start time of your experience
  • Changes are not permitted within 7 days of your experience
  • Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

Weather

Public departures are subject to weather conditions and minimum numbers. The provider monitors expected conditions well in advance of each tour and charter and will always try to give you as much notice as possible if they deem it too risky to proceed, however the final decision is at the discretion of the skipper on the day. Unexpected weather changes can and do happen from time to time.

Dress Code

Casual attire. Sailing can be a windy and wet experience. It is advisable to bring a windcheater or spray jacket and / or a warm pullover. Shoes with a good grip and preferably a white or light-coloured sole are best. Bare feet on deck. Bring along your bathers, camera and a towel.
