The most unique and memorable way to experience Rottnest island. Sail to stunning bays brimming with local marine life. Swim, Snorkel, SUP or just relax. The perfect way to spend the afternoon.
Experience the magic of Rottnest Island by luxury sailing catamaran! Sail the island's stunning coastline and dive into an underwater paradise, full snorkel gear included. Departing Thomson Bay, enjoy a leisurely sail to a secluded bay, cool down and hold on to the huge cargo net as you're dragged through the water on route. Anchored at the island's top snorkel spots, find over 120 different species of tropical fish, you won't see along the metropolitan coastline. Look out for dolphins and the rare Australian sea lions! Kayaks and SUP boards also available for your use. Enjoy a seasonal fruit platter as you sail back to the jetty in time for the afternoon ferries.
This experience runs for 2.5 - 3 hours depending on conditions on the day. Please allow 3 when booking a return ferry.
No drones. Pregnancy: Expectant guests who are 28-36 weeks pregnant will require medical clearance to board. Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate anyone over 36 weeks gestation.
Once this experience has been confirmed changes are at the discretion of the experience provider and arranged directly with them according to this policy:
Late Arrivals: If you are late, we cannot hold up the vessel and other guests for you so please always be waiting at least 15 minutes prior to your scheduled departure time.
Supplier Cancellation: Charter 1 reserves the right to reschedule tours where minimum numbers are not met or when unsafe weather conditions are forecast, or on the rare occasion of mechanical failure. We will always try to give you as much notice as possible. The final decision is at the discretion of the skipper on the day. If your tour is cancelled by Charter 1 due to inclement weather (which is at the sole discretion of Charter 1), we will work with you to find an alternate suitable date, or an alternative experience of at least equal value, or organise a refund.
This cruise runs with group sizes up to 24 people. This number can sometimes be higher.
Public departures are subject to weather conditions and minimum numbers. The provider monitors expected conditions well in advance of each tour and charter and will always try to give you as much notice as possible if they deem it too risky to proceed, however the final decision is at the discretion of the skipper on the day. Unexpected weather changes can and do happen, albeit are rare.
Casual attire. Sailing can be a windy and wet experience. It is advisable to bring a windcheater or spray jacket and / or a warm pullover. Shoes with a good grip and preferably a white or light-coloured sole are best. Bare feet on deck. Bring along your bathers and a towel.
Please note: Shoes are not allowed on deck, you are however welcome to wear them inside. Shorts or pants are the most comfortable option for sailing.
This experience departs from Rottnest Island, WA.
