The experience will take you on a thrilling 25 minute flight from Archerfield Airport. The Mission Area is Jumpinpin or Lake Wyaralong, as directed on the day by Air Traffic Control. You will receive a full operational briefing for your upcoming mission, after which you will be fitted into your flight suit and helmet and taken to the aircraft. The engine start sequence is a highlight as it whistles into action and your adventure is just about to begin.
This Fighter Jet mission is a 25 minute adventure joy flight letting you experience first hand the thrill of flight in a Fighter Jet. The first objective is a high-speed attack run toward Flinders Peak RAAF military area and Lake Wyaralong, low level below the radar before we pop up and surprise the insurgance on the Lake. You will experience the thrill of being low and fast in a Modern Fighter Jet, looking for bogies as we head west.
Once you arrive in the Lake Wyaralong area we will proceed to to our aerobatic sequence showing off our Jets flight envelope and vertical performance. Aileron Rolls, Barrel Rolls, Loops and Cuban Eights, Vertical Rolls as you twist and turn, feeling the agility of the L-39. The aerobatic section of this flight is optional and can be substituted to a low level surveillance mission if you prefer.
After the flight, you will have the opportunity to take photos with the aircraft and ask your pilot any questions you might have.
Session Length
- Please allow 60 minutes in total for a safety briefing and cockpit preparation
- Duration 25 minutes from engine start to stop
- Take off to landing is 15 minutes
Guidelines
For safety, you should be in good health and free from high blood pressure, heart, back or neck problems, motion sickness, or other conditions that could be aggravated by this adventure. If you have any questions as to your fitness for this experience, you should consult your doctor.
- Minimum age for this experience is 14 years old
- Maximum weight 136kg
- Maximum height is 201cm
- This is not suitable for pregnant women
Cancellation
Once this experience has been confirmed, changes are at the discretion of the experience provider and arranged directly with them according to this policy:
- 48 hours notice is required for cancellation, otherwise a 25% rescheduling fee may apply
Spectators
Spectators are welcome to watch from the hangar.
Weather
Flights are dependant on weather conditions. The provider will accommodate rescheduling due to inclement weather.
Dress Code
Closed shoes are required. The experience provider will supply a military flight suit and a helmet.
