Over 4 hours your tutor will take you by foot to many great photogenic locations in Brisbane. Learn in simple terms how and why you should use the manual setting on your camera.

This course runs in small groups of 4 or less so you can receive individual help over the 4 hours.

Please note: This photography course is only suitable for cameras with a manual mode setting. You will have a M for manual on the dial of your camera.

Session Length

Please allow four hours for this experience
This experience will start at 9am

Guidelines

Participants must bring their own camera, memory card and a fully charged battery.
Minimum age is 14
Under 18 must be dropped off and picked up by their parent or legal guardian
This is an intermediate workshop, participants should have a basic understanding of photography

Cancellation

Change your booking up to 7 days before the start time of your experience
Changes are not permitted within 7 days of your experience
Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

Numbers on the Day

This workshop runs with a minimum of 4 people and maximum of 8 people. If minimum numbers are not met we will reschedule the course.

Dress Code

Sun glasses, sunscreen and a hat are recommended. Please wear comfortable footwear.

Location

This experience takes place at The Brisbane City Botanic Gardens or Brisbane's CBD depending on the prevailing weather conditions.

I am blown away by how much confidence and ability to navigate my DSLR I have gained after attending a single class with Robert. His experience and knowledge is second to none and the amount of detail and care he poured into the session is so generous. I learnt so much in person and am truly grateful for the experience and will happily recommend his workshops to anyone looking to improve their photography skills. Already looking forward to the next workshop which will be in night photography!

Spent a day with Robert learning all there is to know about taking my camera off auto and get great results. Robert was patient and informative, while also giving simple knowledgeable instructions which took a raw beginner to an amazed operator performing trick photography and obtaining great results. Tutor, Robert made the course not only very informative but was presented in a way that was supportive while at the same time, challenging. If you are interested in getting more out of your camera give this course a go. Going to do the night course next.

The Intermediate Manual Photography Course was well conducted. The instructor was very knowledgeable and presented his course in a simplified manner that all participants could understand even the ones which weren't quite up to intermediate standard. He was happy to answer questions on topics brought up by the participants which were not covered by the course but were for general information I would recommend this course to anyone interested in taking their photography to the next level up from point and shoot mode.
