A food and wine tasting trail through Atherton Tablelands; this is a must do for any foodie visiting tropical Cairns. Taste a smorgasbord of fruit, cheese, wine, liqueurs and even coffee! Travel through lush rainforest, savannah plains and farmland; enjoying fresh produce along the way.

Brett, your amazing foodie guide will take you all across the Atherton Tablelands from lush rainforest to verdant farmland, sharing the best local produce with you! Find those hidden and not so hidden spots in this vibrant area west of Cairns and relish in the delectable treats on offer...
Your first stop will be Lake Barrine National Park and Tea House. Enjoy a full breakfast over looking the beautiful surrounds. Travel through the country to Rainforest Bounty Private Property to taste Indigenous Tropical condiments over looking the river. The Australian Platypus Park is home to a thriving platypus population. We take a wonder down to see them in this magnificent setting then sit down to enjoy flavoured handcrafted smoked products, combined with a unique blend of local Australian native herbs and spices. These tasty treats are all produced in-house using only the freshest quality ingredients and include Crocodile, Red Claw (Yabby) and Kangaroo with fresh local salads topped off with a ‘Tarzali Lakes’ boutique beer, Dragon Fruit cider, Lemon Myrtle tea and some tastings of the Murdering Point Tropical fruit Winery range. (Menu (EXCLUSIVE to our tour.) Time to purchase some of the smoked products and sauces.
Now we arrive at a Gallo Dairyland. Taste delicious cheeses and Swiss style chocolate. Stop by farms and buy produce direct from the friendly farmers. Learn about the area's best exports; bananas, mangoes, nuts, coffee, sugar and more. We now head through a patchwork of amazing farmland, diverse crops and rolling green hills for a tasting and shopping treat. We stop at ‘The Humpy’, the best place to go to for freshly harvested Atherton Tablelands produce straight from the growers. From vegetables to tropical fruits and hundreds of different varieties of nuts, dried fruits locally produced jams and sauces. Here we get to taste some seasonal fruits and many different flavours of hot local peanuts and macadamia nuts. We leave you time to browse this amazing and quirky grocery store so you can pu Next up is Uncle Distillery; here you'll taste some award liqueurs Take a wander around the grounds to work off some of that food and admire the beautiful gardens and meet the friendly animals.
Now it's time for a coffee stop! Be welcomed into the Jacques Family Coffee Plantation. Taste a cup of Arabica coffee and have a go at being the barista! Take a stroll through the coffee bushes and munch on homemade scones with jam and cream. An indulgent day out in tropical paradise! If Jaques is closed we will treat you to Our last stop of the day is Emerald Creek Ice creamery a family-owned business Positioned on 2.15ha on the Kennedy Highway between Mareeba and Kuranda. Their Ice-cream is made on-site in their factory using pure cream and full cream milk. Sorbets (dairy free, full fruit) also made on-site using local Tablelands fruit Set on the balcony of their property we enjoy a delicious cup of local Jaques Coffee made as you like it and delicious homemade scones with strawberry and blueberry jam and cream. Followed by a tasting of sorbet that is unique to them with additional tastings of their flavours available too!!
