It's time for you to drive Yamaha's latest four-wheel weapon- the Yamaha YXZ1000R. This 100% pure sports vehicle is one of a kind. Now its your turn to jump inside and go for a truly unique and exhilarating drive. It has a 998cc three-cylinder engine, five speed manual transmission, electronic power steering and a cockpit resembling that of a fighter jet. But be warned, the YXZ is not for the faint hearted! The YXZ has incredible shocks and suspension that make you feel comfortable and safe. You will drive 12 laps with an instructor at your side, and then later take two hot laps as a passenger that will have you sitting on the edge of your seat while your driver shows you just what this beast of a machine can do - you will never want the hot lap to end.

Important information

Session Length

Allow up to two hours at the track for your experience
Morning session 8:30am - 10.30am OR 10.30am - 12.30pm
Afternoon session 12:30pm - 2:30pm OR 2.30pm - 4.30pm
Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your start time to complete paperwork

Restrictions

Maximum weight is for this experience is 130kg and maximum height is 201cm. A zero alcohol and drug policy for all drivers will be strictly adhered to.

Guidelines

All drivers must be 16 years or older and all passengers must be 10 years or older.

Cancellation

Change your booking up to 14 days before the start time of your experience
Changes are not permitted within 7 days of your experience unless in extreme circumstances

Numbers on the Day

There will be a maximum group size of 10 people.

Spectators

Spectators are welcome with great viewing of the race track. You are able to stay with the participant right up until their drive. There is a safe environment for kids with plenty of space for them to run around.

Weather

In the event of rain or inclement weather your experience will still go ahead unless contacted by the experience provider. A text message will be sent to the person who booked the experience.

Dress Code

Please note you will get a little dusty with this experience – you will be supplied with overalls and helmet.

Other Info

All drivers must be 16 years or older and all passengers must be 10 years or older. Photo packages are available for purchase on the day for $50. There are no canteen facilities available on site, so please feel free to bring your own food and drinks. There are no EFTPOS facilities on site due to no Internet coverage. So please bring cash on the day for any extra purchases.

Yamaha buggy ride was fun but a little frustrating

For some who had never driven on dirt it would be amazing, for those with a bit of experience, the limits imposed on performance took the shine off.

So I got this as a gift for my partner and he loved it. His response was it was better than skydiving. The location was so easy to get to. As for the staff well they were amazing and fun. Highly recommended this

I purchased the Yamaha Buggy Drive as a present for my partner for Christmas 2019, but due to the bushfires and COVD we were only just able to go. And it was definitely worth the wait! It is very well organised, especially for a 40* day, with plenty of cold water and shade on offer. My partner loved the driving experience and the hot laps - I even added on two hot laps for myself once we were there. It was so much fun! You have to do two hot laps to go over the jump and it is so worth it. Do yourself a favour and book this amazing experience!

I got the YXZ Buggy and hot laps - but I really struggled in using the buggy. Rather than just leave me be - the staff offered to let me do a few more Hot Laps - and it was AMAZING. The drivers know the track SO well, and it was full of thrills and turns. The jump is great!
