Experience all of the chills, thrills and excitement of an adrenaline-pumped 20-minute aerobatic flight over Southern Moreton Bay in a Yak 52. You're in control of the the intensity of your flight, so either take it up a notch and go wild, or tone it down with a mild flight!
Crank up the adrenaline during an aerobatic flight in a Russian Yak-52, powered by a nine cylinder, 360hp, supercharged radial engine. Originally built to train Russian pilots for combat manoeuvres, the Yak 52 today allows you to feel like a fighter pilot as you loop and roll through the sky. Upon arrival, you will be greeted by the friendly team and receive a full briefing including all aspects of flight, aircraft details and safety procedures.
Then, get strapped into the aircraft and feel the roar of the engine come to life. Your pilot will head straight for Southern Moreton Bay where you'll get your blood pumping above the water, with manoeuvres like loops, barrel rolls, half cubans, wing-overs, stall turns and inverted flying. These mind blowing manoeuvres will result in G-forces ranging from +4 to -1 and reach speeds in excess of 400km/h.
You'll be in constant communication with your pilot via headsets to either turn up the action or tone it down at any point. Following a full de-brief there will be an opportunity to take more with the aircraft, discuss the flight with your pilot and ask any questions you might have. This is truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience and a perfect gift idea for Top Gun fans and adrenaline junkies alike.
Military aircraft are built and tested to different standards than that put forward by CASA or any equivalent international civil aviation governing body. As such, in accordance with Civil Aviation Safety Regulation Parts 132.140, 132.150 and 132.155; - The design, manufacture and airworthiness of the aircraft are not required to meet any standard recognized by CASA; and - CASA does not require the aircraft to be operated to the same degree of safety as an aircraft used for regular public transport or charter operations; and - The passenger agrees to participate in this flight at his or her own risk; and - If it is reasonable to believe that a passenger cannot understand the safety briefing; said passenger must be accompanied on the flight by a parent, guardian, or carer; and - A detailed briefing will be provided to the passenger before they board the aircraft. This will include signing our liability waiver and acknowledgment of the briefing. Need parent signature if under 18 yo.
Spectators are welcome to watch from the hangar.
In the event of rain or inclement weather your experience will still go ahead unless contacted by the experience provider. If your experience in cancelled you will be rescheduled by the provider.
Closed shoes are required. The experience provider will supply a flight suit and headset.
Flight upgrades are available on the day should you wish to extend your flight time
