Discover the thrill of rally driving on a purpose built track in Ipswich, just 40 minutes south west of Brisbane, with four laps behind the wheel of a turbo WRX rally car. Your day starts with a short safety briefing to get you familiar with the car, then you will slide into the driver's seat alongside a professional instructor.

Over four laps, they talk you through braking points, cornering and car control on the intercom, sharpening your technique each time around with one goal in mind, making the last lap the fastest. Helmet, race suit and intercom are all provided, and refreshments are on hand for the family and friends who come along to watch. To finish, the professional takes the wheel for an extreme turbo charged hot lap so you can feel exactly what this car can do at full pace. It makes a brilliant gift for anyone who has ever dreamed of getting sideways behind the wheel.

Guidelines

Minimum age is 12 years
No driving licence is required
All participants and drivers must sign a waiver of liability form
Maximum weight is 150kg
Maximum height is 203cm
Overalls and a helmet are supplied and participants should expect to get dusty
The price quoted is for one participant and there may be up to 10 other people in the group

Cancellation

Change your booking up to 7 days before the start time of your experience
Changes are not permitted within 7 days of your experience
Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

Weather

In the event of rain or inclement weather your experience will still go ahead unless contacted by the experience provider.

Dress Code

You will be supplied with overalls and helmet- you will get dusty so please bare this in mind.

Off road rush finally taken

The gift was presented to me following my retirement and came as a complete surprise. Due to covid delays and other factors it was nearly 4 years before I could actually take the drive. Red Ballon were able to accommodate the delays. I decided to get another ride for my son so we could both enjoy the Fun of fanging around the off road track in the turbo buggies. It was a great day that we both enjoyed. Thanks again to Red Ballon for your patience.

Overall Disappointing - could do better

Unfortunately I felt disappointed with his experience. We were there for 1/2 hour total, it was very rushed. Safety briefing was 5 mins, no overalls and advised to go put a helmet, no help for children was provided to even see if they fitted. Complimentary snacks were bottles of water and chips thrown onto a table. Driving lasted approximately 5 mins. Would not recommend

Received this voucher as a father's day gift. Not my typical cup of tea, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. The team out there were relaxed and organized, and the instructor provided plenty of encouragement as we completed the four laps.

This is a perfect Christmas for the whole family, everyone be had a huge smile on their face as they got out of the cars. Everything was organised well. The complementary snack & drink was a nice touch. Toilets were clean & tidy but the toilet needed restocking. Thanks again for a great morning.

Having owned a 74 Corvette Stingray for 10 years , and a B4 twin turbo plus the use of My son’s 2 door 2.8 l STI and his STI Forestor The hot lap in the Can-Am was the farsted I have ever been on 4 wheels . Have decided to buy some hot laps for my son very impressed
