During your next visit to the Vale, drop in to Maxwell Wines, a gorgeous winery carved into a limestone hill in the heart of the region for a behind the scenes tour of the working winery. With a friendly guide, you will learn about the winemaking process, from the arrival of the grapes to the press, fermenting and blending methods adopted to produce their premium wines. See barrels of wine patiently waiting to mature and discover the process winemakers go through to determine this, followed by an exclusive private tasting experience amidst the barrels. You'll then have the rare opportunity to taste wine directly from the barrel to compare the oaks they're maturing in. Explore their 100 year old lime cave before ending your visit with an indulgent degustation lunch, featuring seasonal and regional produce perfectly paired with wine.
Please note, this experience will be around 4.5 hours in total - finishing around 3.30 pm with your lunch at 12:30 pm. All guests must be 18 years or over. Flat walking shoes are strongly encouraged. This booking is subject to restaurant availability. Once you book online, we'll confirm your reservation via email within 24 hours. Dietary requirements must be advised as soon as possible. Due to the nature of the degustation, we can only cater for gluten free, dairy free and vegetarian diets only.
