Immerse yourself in the habitats of iconic Australian animals at Port Douglas' Wildlife Habitat. From furry to scaly, big to small, you'll have an amazing day amongst an array of animals. Join a number of feeding tours and presentations to see and get up close to the resident creatures.

Observe a huge range of Australian flora and fauna during your day out at Wildlife Habitat. Situated in Port Douglas, the exhibit was established to provide a window into our unique and incredible natural environment. Spend your day wandering the grounds, strolling over elevated boardwalks and meandering pathways to experience the local residents. Playing home to koalas, kangaroos, crocodiles, many bird species and more, you're sure to fall in love with some furry and scaly animals. While you're there, why not join a number of feeding tours and presentations where you'll get up close and personal to some of the endemic species. A fun day out for the entire family awaits in Port Douglas.

  • Open from 8am until 4pm daily, closed on Christmas Day

Children must be supervised by an adult at all times.

  • Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

Shoes are required to enter the park.

Epic Personalised Wildlife Experience

We had an amazing time at Wildlife Habitat. Great experience for all ages. The guides obviously loved working with the animals and were super informative. The animals also showed so much more of themselves with the guides about. We saw some extremely special moments.

The bird aviary was amazing!

We had a fabulous time at the Habitat! The animals were great and the enclosures were clean and well set out. The caretakers loved what they did. We really enjoyed the crocodile show. The animals all looked happy!

Bird park is located on the main road and is a main tourist attraction. I found the park ok, not bang for buck what I expected. Best part of the experience are the birds in the Cafeteria.
