Experience the thrill of white water rafting on 14 rapids with an action packed adventure on the Yarra River and surrounding bushland. After being fitted with the latest rafting equipment and receiving expert instruction from your experienced guides, you'll spend two exhilarating hours navigating grade two rapids and paddling through rolling waves. Perfect for first timers and adventure seekers alike, this Yarra River rafting experience combines heart pumping excitement with incredible natural scenery.

Take on the exciting rapids as you work together with your crew to conquer the river's twists and turns. Between bursts of adrenaline, take a moment to soak up the peaceful surroundings and keep an eye out for native Australian wildlife, including kangaroos, wombats and a variety of birdlife. This Yarra Valley white water rafting experience includes rafting equipment, safety gear, professional guidance and approximately two hours on the river.

Important information

Session Length

This experience is approximately two hours and 30 minutes in duration
The session duration will vary depending on how high or low the water level is, as water levels and the rapids vary considerably depending on the river level
Available all year-round including public holidays
Please arrive 15 minutes early for this experience to complete a safety briefing

Guidelines

Suitable for anyone with average level of fitness
You must read and sign disclaimer to participate
You will be required to lift rafts a short distance
Minimum age is eight years old
Maximum weight limit is 120kg
Children must be supervised by an adult
Children under 16 years only $10
One $10 child with every paying adult
Adults with more than one child will be charged at the adult rate

Cancellation

Our re-booking fees are priced at $30pp if your booking is scheduled within 7 days of you contacting us, or $15pp if your booking is outside of the 7 day policy. Rebooking your session is entirely at our discretion. Rebooking fees are also applicable to under 16's.

Numbers on the Day

Minimum of two participants needed for this experience to go ahead. Please note that participants will be contacted by the experience provider directly to reschedule if minimum numbers have not been reached.

Weather

In the event of rain or inclement weather your experience will still go ahead unless contacted by the experience provider.

Dress Code

You must wear closed toed footwear, you cannot wear thongs, sandals or bare feet. You will get wet from at least the waist down, so please dress to get wet. It is recommended you wear warm clothing in colder months, and it's best to avoid cotton or jeans in winter, as they can make you cold if wet. Shorts and t-shirts are fine for summer months.

Other Info

The water level is lower in summer months which makes the paddling more technical and the rapids easier. For a wild ride come in winter or spring. The rapids change considerably at different water levels, more rain equals higher water levels and bigger rapids.

Amazing white water rafting experience!

Had an amazing time rafting! The instructors were super friendly and helpful, even going out of their way to assist another group. We had so much fun, even though the rapids were smaller due to it being summer. Our 9-year-old absolutely loved it! The instructors were fantastic, jumping in the water themselves to help guide us through the trickier parts. We also stopped at some beautiful locations for swims, which made the experience even better. Definitely would come back again—highly recommend!

White water rafting was loads of fun

As a family of four, we absolutely loved the white water rafting. The guides were fantastic and loads of fun. I laughed all the way through. It was just fantastic. The views on the river were absolutely beautiful and we got to have a couple of swims in certain points of the river. The river was low, so we got caught on some rocks, but it was part of the fun trying to become unstuck. Would love to try it again in winter when the river is higher and the rapids are faster also to experience both.

First time trying white water rafting and loved the experience. The guide was relaxed and knowledgeable, the trip down river was scenic and beautiful (when not focusing on the rapids), and we even got time to jump off the kayaks and have a swim. I would recommend this experience to anyone, especially something fun and exciting to do with your children.
