Get your dose of adrenaline during this whitewater rafting experience on the Barron River. Upon arrival, your guide will take you through a safety briefing and the paddling techniques to ensure you're well equipped for the wild adventure ahead. Your journey down the river consists of calm water floating and navigating a number of grade 2-3 rapids such as the Rooster Tail guaranteed to elevate your heart rate. During the quiet moments, take some time to soak in your stunning surroundings of rugged rainforest mountains, steep ravines and magnificent falls.

Session Length

This experience is approximately two hours in duration
Operates daily excluding Christmas Day

Restrictions

Not suitable for pregnant women. If you have a medical condition or are unsure that you are physically able to participate, you are advised to consult with your doctor.

Guidelines

A $30 per person rafting levy is applicable to all participants payable on the day
Minimum age is 13 years. Participants under 18 years of age will need to have a medical waiver signed by their parent/guardian prior to travel
Prior to your rafting trip you will be required to complete a medical questionnaire and sign a liability waiver
You do not need to be able to swim to participate as you will be fitted with a life jacket before the tour
A moderate level of fitness is required

50% refund for cancellations made within 48hours of tour departure.
No refund for cancellations made within 24hrs of departure.

Numbers on the Day

Maximum of seven participants plus your guide.

Spectators

This tour is not ideal for spectators as you will only be able to see the start and the finish point.

Weather

In the event of flooding, the experience will not be able to operate on the Barron River but may be offered on an alternate river.

Dress Code

Please wear swimwear and shorts and bring a change of clothes and a towel.

Location

This experience takes place at Barron Gorge, 20 minutes from Cairns, QLD.

White water rafting UNREAL

Absolutely unreal time. Our daughters were so scared but within minutes of rafting they were loving it, when it ended they wanted to go again. Our rafting queen Kai made it a fantastic day she was amazing. Thanks so much, we will definitely be back for more rafting.
