Your two hour Extreme Whale Watching experience begins with a transfer to pick up extra passengers at Rose Bay and then its full speed out of the harbour. After punching through the heads and into the Tasman Sea, you're taken on a high-speed cruise out to see the whales on the giant purpose-built fast boat that can reach speeds greater than a jet boat. Your skipper is in constant contact with other boat drivers to find the most friendly and approachable whale pods.

If whales are not spotted on a whale watching tour, each passenger will be issued with a ticket to come on another whale watching tour for free during the same season. It is non-transferable and must be used by the original participant.

This experience lasts approximately 2 hours, depending on conditions

Guidelines

Minimum age is 12 years
Passengers with back, neck, shoulder or heart conditions, those who are pregnant or who have injuries/conditions that may cause a risk to their health are not permitted to do this experience and if so, do so at their own risk
Participants must be able to board and disembark the vessel unaided, support their own bodyweight and be able to use legs to absorb ocean bumps

Cancellation

Change your booking up to 48 hours before the start time of your experience
Changes are not permitted within 48 hours of your experience
Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

Numbers on the Day

Maximum 25 passengers on each trip

Weather

In the event of rain or inclement weather your experience will still go ahead unless contacted by the experience provider

Sunglasses and warm clothing are essential.

This experience departs from Campbell's Cove Pontoon at Circular Quay (The Rocks). It is located at the end of the Overseas Passenger Terminal Building in front of Squire Landing Pub. Pick up from Manly Wharf available on request.

Incredible experience

Everything from the start was excellent. Clear communication about where to meet on the day, what time to be there and what to bring. Blake was excellent at telling us where we were going, what to look out for and right on to it when a whale was about to pop up! It was informative, and fun at the same time. An absolutely exhilarating experience and I would go again.

I adored every part of the experience, zipping over to Manly and back out of North Head was so much fun in itself and sitting quietly out in the water waiting to spot a whale was the most serene experience. Red Balloon compiling all the options in front of me for the most optimal choice was great!

Such a great experience! Would highly recommend this for anyone and everyone. We were able to see a pod of 3 humpback whales and had them approach the boat on multiple occasions. So surreal!

This was one of the most amazing experiences. Blake, our skipper was fabulous. Within minutes of leaving the heads, Blake spotted whales. Will be recommending this to everyone I know. A must do adventure.

Amazing experience being out on the water and witnessing the Whales up close. Blake is a great guide, he really knows his stuff and is really friendly. Because we were in a smaller boat we could get much closer to the whales which was a big bonus. Blake also provided everyone with really solid jackets to help with the cold. Recommend this to everyone as a a must!

The tour was well organised and a lot of fun. The guide knew how we could approach the whales safely with their welfare in mind. I have never seen so many whales performing their natural activities so close. It was an amazing experience!
