Surprise your partner with the proposal of a lifetime. Completely private and personal, this leisurely kayaking trip turns into a romantic proposal picnic as you 'discover' a secluded beach. Your day will start innocently enough, the experience provider will play along as you and your partner arrive for your kayak hire. You'll be given the kayak, 2 paddles, 2 lifejackets and a map, the staff will enthusiastically recommend an amazing, secluded beach that you should visit. Unbeknownst to your special someone, this is the beach that your picnic is set up on.

You will paddle out for half an hour and come upon the idyllic setting; a beach umbrella, table, chairs, an esky with a bottle of bubbles chilling in it and a picnic of delicious food that you have chosen prior. Also on the beach with be your personalised proposal message in the sand, this will be surrounded by rose petals. You will then have 3 hours to eat, drink, relax and swim before paddling back or having the experience provider pick you up by boat.

Session Length

This experience is available all year round and takes 4 hours
Picnics can be scheduled to begin at either 12:00 or 13:00
Bookings are essential and must be made at least 48 hours in advance, they should be made further in advance over summer

No previous kayaking experience required
All participants must be able to swim

Cancellation

Change your booking up to 48 hours before the start time of your experience
Changes are not permitted within 48 hours of your experience
Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

Numbers on the Day

Store Beach is not a private beach and may be occupied by a number other beach goers. It is secluded in the fact that it is only accessible by water craft, so there are no roads or tracks to it.

Weather

In the event of rain or inclement weather your experience will still go ahead unless contacted by the experience provider. If your experience is cancelled you will be rescheduled by the provider.

Dress Code

Casual and comfortable clothing is recommended. Wet weather gear is advisable if it is raining. A hat, sunglasses and sunscreen is recommended. Your bum and feet will get wet in the kayak; please wear suitable clothes or bring swimmers

Girlfriend was completely taken by surprise!

The picnic and hut was set up perfectly, the staff were professional and didn't give anything away. Very helpful people. We were quickly briefed and given a map and set on our way. We started kayaking and after about 20 minutes the beach was within sight. The trip to the beach takes about 30-40 minutes if you are taking your time. There are also a few other beaches you can stop at first if you like.Once we got to the beach, we were the only ones there, there were 2 other small groups of people that came and went, however there is enough space on the beach that we had ample privacy and the other people were too far away from us to hear. I loved that we were not limited to how long we can spend. We spent about 4 hours but we could have spent the whole day there if we didn't have other plans.
