Experience a full on aerobatic flight in a in a ex-military warbird fighter trainer. This flight includes 30 minutes in the air which gives you enough time for a full compliment of manoeuvres from mild to wild. You'll also experience the amazing scenery of Melbourne's surf coast.

What's included?

30 minute flight time, from when the wheels leave the ground to touch down time
Full colour, framable Flight Certificate, listing all the manoeuvres completed and Max G recorded

Experience the thrill of a high G force aerobatic flight in an ex-military Warbird fighter trainer. This 15 minute flight starts with max power climb directly into an aerobatic sequence of several basic and advanced manoeuvres before a high speed descent and return to base.

Session Length

Please allow one hour for this experience
You will be in the aircraft for 35-40 minutes, and the actual flight time is 30 minutes
Please arrive 15mins earlier for your booking

Guidelines

The minimum age is 14 and the maximum weight is 135kg for this experience. If you have a known heart condition, we recommend that you contact your doctor regarding maximum G force recommended.

Military aircraft are built and tested to different standards than that put forward by CASA or any equivalent international civil aviation governing body. As such, in accordance with Civil Aviation Safety Regulation Parts 132.140, 150 and 132.155;

(i) the design, manufacture and airworthiness of the aircraft are not required to meet any standard recognised by CASA; and
(ii) the aircraft is not required by CASA to be operated to the same safety standards as an aircraft used for air transport operations; and
(iii) travel in the aircraft is done at the passenger's own risk; and
(iv) a more detailed briefing about the safety of the aircraft will be given to the passenger before the passenger boards the aircraft;
(v) passengers who cannot understand safety briefing to be accompanied on adventure flights

Cancellation

Change your booking up to 48 hours before the start time of your experience
Changes are not permitted within 48 hours of your experience
Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

Numbers on the Day

You are one-on-one with your pilot. We will take a maximum of 9 passengers per day.

Weather

All flights are subject to weather conditions. Generally if you can see blue sky then it will be suitable to fly. If there are thick low clouds, it will not be suitable. You will be contacted on the day if conditions arent favourable and we will reschedule to the next best time for you.

Dress Code

Wear comfortable clothing and closed toe shoes.

Professionally edited, high definition, widescreen DVDs are available of your flight, purchase on the day.

Had a voucher a decided to take a warbird flight at Barwon Heads. One of the best experiences I have ever had. Pilot Nick was great and even agreed to slightly change route and fly over Anglesea where the rest of family was staying. 6/5 stars.

The warbird flight was one of the best things I've done in a long time. Jack, the pilot was really friendly and accommodating, right down to letting me choose the flight path, which included "buzzing" my house in Ocean Grove. My wife who bought me the gift voucher was there to film it as we flew over. The scenery along the coast, across Port Phillip Heads and down to Sorrento was absolutely beautiful when viewed from an altitude of 500 ft. To finish off we did some aerobatics over the Ocean Grove beach near our house so my wife could also watch. The plane is old school 1950's era including the engine smells and old school gauges etc. The canopy is nice and clear with good view of the beach even when upside down. If aerobatics isn't your thing, then the low altitude scenic flight over the coastline is definitely worthwhile. My next door neighbours liked the low flyby that much that they've booked exactly the same flight. Could not recommend it highly enough.

Greatest day ever!

On Friday the 17th of December 2021 I was fortunate enough to finally experience my Warbird Aerobatic Flight event that had been pushed back for 12 months due to COVID issues. But, what a day...........well worth the near 12 month wait! The event was mind blowing and as for experiencing 4 G, amazing. No words to describe the feeling except maybe the fact that your face feels like it's being squashed against the back of your skull!! I am still smiling 3 days later and am in total awe of the skills Jack (my pilot for the day), must have to perform such aerobatic maneuvers. I have raced motorbikes on track days but this experience (Warbird Flight), far out trumps any track day. I highly recommend this adventure to anybody out there wishing to experience something different from ordinary and loves adrenalin sports! Thanks Adventure Flight Co. specially Jack for making this day one of the best I have experienced. Cheers. Dion.

Captain Jack was so great explaining what manoeuvres we would be doing before flying. Upside down & Loopy Loops were so much fun. I would do it every week.

I had an absolutely fantastic time! Jack my pilot was so friendly and supportive dealing with my nerves and first time experience. He made the experience very enjoyable. The venue allowed for my support person to wait while I was taken for spins and G force applications. I would recommend it to anyone wanting something adventurous and different.
