Explore iconic Uluru on a Segway on this "best of" tour that also includes a guided walk into Mutitjulu Waterhole. Learn about Uluru's history, Dreamtime and landscape on this four-hour tour. Upon arrival at the rock, you'll walk the short track to Mutitjulu Waterhole. Along the way, your guide will tell you about the Anangu people, Uluru's traditional custodians, and share with you their culture, traditions, art and language. Afterwards, you'll undergo Segway training and have time to practice in a purpose-built area before setting off. Feel the wind in your hair as you cruise around the most scenic part of the rock, stopping along the way to hear about the cultural significance of certain areas and take photographs. At the Mala walk, you will dismount and continue on foot to explore the caves and rock art up close.

Restrictions

This activity is not suitable for pregnant women. Those above the age of 65 are discouraged from participating in this tour due to risk of serious injury in the event of a fall.

Guidelines

This price does NOT include National Park fees - you will be required to pay National Park fees in order to do this tour.
Participants must be above the age of 12 and weigh between 45-117kg
Uluru Segway Tours discourages those above the age of 65-years old from engaging in this tour due to increased risk of injury in the event of a fall
Participants aged between 55-65years should consider their personal suitability for adventure activities prior to booking
Participants must be free from serious injuries/illness/medical conditions that may impact your ability to Segway
Participants must have the fitness/balance/coordination and vision required to ride a bicycle
This activity is not suitable for those who have a history of serious spinal injury or are currently pregnant
Participants must wear closed in shoes, bring at least one litre of water per person and have a National Park Entry Ticket.
All participants are required to sign a wavier form prior to the tour

Segway riding is an adventure activity. All participants need the same balance and coordination as required to ride a bicycle

Fun, easy, varied and worthwhile.

Pickup was punctual. Guides were knowledgeable and friendly. Segways were easy to ride and training given was comprehensive and safety oriented. There was a good mix of riding and walking. Fun to watch other visitors (envious) faces as we passed. Guide imparted both geological and cultural history of Uluru. The two aspects that were disappointing the "picnic" was two store bought dips and cruskits for 10 ppl, and all 3 employees we engaged with were non- indigenous. This was not unique, we engaged with several tour companies and only the resort had engaged indigenous staff. The companies operating in central Australia need to do better at bridging the cultural gap to employ more indigenous people! Booking through Redballoon easy and saved 10% definitely recommended using Redballon for all central Australian tours!
