Found the whiskey tasting enjoyable and informative. Seating was crowded and uncomfortable on bar stools with not enough space for coats or jackets. I felt the venue let down the experience and found I was constantly moving trying to get comfortable. For anyone still sensitive to COVID or immune compromised it would be too close.

I guess the many wine tastings I had attended in the past conditioned my expectations but I was surprised by a very knowledgeable host that took us through a brief history of whisky and manufacturing process along with the tasting of some very contrasting drops that helped appreciate the variety available.

The owners advised a time change. Red ballon did not advise this to me. Hence I missed the first 30 minutes. As for the experience it was great. I’ll book directly with the organizers next time.

Once your booking is made all changes must come from the Experience Operator to yourself direct. On most occasions the Operator will not advise the change to RedBalloon. Great Afternoon. A little different in presentation to what the title may indicate but a great journey and insight to what Whisky/whiskey means and why the influences. Lots of fun with good interaction from the group. Good variety to taste with a great rationale behind it all. it really proves the everyone is right in what they taste. You can be different in your choices and preferences. Three words Informative, tasty, worthwhile.

The team were very accommodating to my requests, arrived late however they insured to reserve table for us. Interactive session with room to ask questions. The moderator sounded very knowledagble and passionate about whisky. Would recommend it for whisky enthusiasts

I got a voucher for Whisky & Alement masterclass for my birthday. Being in a few of these classes, Whisky and Alement class was truely standing out. The bar has a lovely ambiance which you can hang out and try a few more drams after the class. I recommend it to any Whisky connoisseur!!

The guy running the event on Saturday 8th was very good and had a passion for sharing his knowledge. Would recommend to others. Took a mate and had a great Arvo out.
