This experience provides an unforgettable three hour wilderness cruises along the spectacular coastline between Port Arthur and Eaglehawk Neck in southern Tasmania.

Take a full day and spend it on the Tasman Peninsula. The cruise travels beneath the highest vertical sea cliffs in the Southern Hemisphere at Cape Pillar. Guests explore waterfalls, rock formations, archways and deep-sea caves. The coastline is part of the Tasman National Park. It is home to a variety of wildlife including hundreds of seals, migrating whales and abundant sea birds in their thousands. At any time of year you're likely to see the feeding frenzy of diving gannets, albatross and sea eagles wheeling on the wind, cliff-nesting cormorants and peregrine falcons, or a pod of playful dolphins surfing the bow wave of the boat. The custom built yellow boats are ideal for viewing the spectacular coastline and wildlife of the Tasman Peninsula. Each vessel holds a maximum of 43 guests. Covered open-air tiered seating means an excellent all-round view and connection with the environment. The boats are safe, comfortable and gentle on the environment due to their fuel efficiency and low emission operation.

Weather

Depending on the weather, the cruise may depart from Port Arthur and travel to Eaglehawk Neck where a coach will pick up passengers and drive back down to Port Arthur

Dress Code

It is important that you are adequately dressed because it is cold on the boats, even in summer. Warm jackets gloves, scarves & beanies are a good idea. Staff do provide wet weather jackets which go over the top of your clothing, but its encouraged to bring a few warm layers of your own.

This was a woderfull experience. It was a long day but I would recommend it to anyone and I would definately do it again if we come back to tassie.from nsw.

The boat ride was excellent as were the people who run the tour.. Spent the afternoon at port Arthur Historic Site. Blown away.. would do it again in a heart beat.

This experience was vertically one to remember! The first thing to mention was how entertaining, knowledgable and helpful the staff were. Without them experience would not have been so swell (pun intended!). The lavender farm was a stop for the sight and smell. The lavender oil is highly recommended. Following this we boarded the speed boat that had extra seats thankfully. The views were unbelievable, the history as raw as the views and the animals as playful as the staff. Our lunch was upon a stunning waterfront view, once again stunning. The chocolate factory was as sweet as the lavender farm but finally the Remarkable Cave! the name so very appropriate. Don't be scared, jump down and make the most of it but make sure to leave nothing behind :)
