Experience Sydney Harbour like you've never seen it before on board an authentic timber tall ship. Take a trip back in time as you sail past Sydney Harbour's finest attractions on this 1850s-style vessel, listening to fascinating historical commentary along the way.

1.5 hour sailing experience on a authentic tall ship

Opportunity to help hoist and set the sails

Set sail around Sydney Harbour on a magnificent timber tall ship, travelling past the Opera House, Fort Denison and Luna Park, and under the Harbour Bridge. Learn a little about Sydney's famous landmarks, waterfront suburbs and the history of the ship as you sit back, relax and enjoy the sights. For those interested in sailing, you are able to have a turn at steering the vessel or can help with the sails. Make sure to bring your camera and take advantage of the uninterrupted views! You can purchase an unlimited drinks package as an add-on for $40 per person. Drinks such as standard beers, wines, juices and soft drinks are available on board at regular bar prices.

1.5 hour tall ship cruise
Sailing schedule from 3:45pm until 5:15pm
Boarding time is 15 minutes before departure

Open to all ages. Children under 4 years old are free of charge, please contact the supplier on (02) 8015 5571.

Guidelines

The supplier only caters for vegetarian and gluten free. Strictly no BYO.
You must be 18 years of age and present a valid ID in order to consume alcohol.

Upgrades:

On board you can also purchase some additional experiences to purchase extras now:

Mast climb: $30 per person
Drinks package: $40 per person

Cancellation

Change your booking up to 7 days before the start time of your experience
If less than 7 days there will be a re-booking fee of $20 per person
Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

Numbers on the Day

The adult/child voucher price quoted is for one person and "for 2" voucher is valid for 2 adults. There will be a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 80 people on the ship.

Weather

The ship is covered and will sail in wet weather. Please bring wet weather gear if it looks like rain. If weather conditions or other factors cause the Master to cancel the sail, a rain check for another voyage will be issued.

Dress Code

Smart casual wear is fine, please consider the weather on the day. We suggest soft low heel shoes and a warm jacket. You are welcome to bring a small cushion if required. White shirts or pants might not be a great idea and no sharp heeled shoes.

The Tallships Harbour cruise was a very cool & unique experience. My kids had all ball helping hoist the sails & steer the ship. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The Captain had some very entertaining stories. The whole experience was definitely fun & worthwhile.

The Captain and hostess were very engaging. They kept us engaged with the view with stories and anecdotes. The crew was also very happy and supportive. Midway I started feeling seasick and the crew was very helpful. Except for the seasickness, the 90 minutes were over before we knew it. We also had a huge storm towards the end of the trip and we had to move inside to avoid getting drenched and we were entertained with funny sailing riddles.

Was a better then expected experience. Great to sail to the more unseen part of Darling harbour in an old sail bought that had travelled all the way from Denmark. I liked the fact that was an actual ancient sail bought and not something that was just built for tourism.

The tall ship was beautiful and the staff were very friendly. A simple cruise through the harbour with plenty of information and history from the guide. I was especially impressed with his knowledge on Australian history and politics and it was very enlightening to hear about Australia’s aboriginal history as well as the history of the harbour.

Was disappointed at the size of the vessel & the food offered, only two options of finger food came around...didn't really sail at all, just a motor up to 'near' Balmain and back under the harbour bridge and around the harbour as far as Garden Island. The crew were lovely, but would not recommend this experience at all.
