Explore and immerse yourself in the world of the Bunbury Dolphins and their local marine environment. Learn all about the Bottlenose Dolphins and their fascinating lives. As an Advanced Eco Tourism attraction, there are no captive dolphins on display. Discover the wild dolphins of Koombana Bay to provide a window into their natural behaviours. You are guaranteed to see dolphins or you go again for free. During the tour, the guides and volunteers will provide commentary and in water guidance giving you the best experience. You will see lots of different dolphin behaviours that can include playing, hunting, travelling, sleeping and mating. With your tour, you also support Conservation, Education, and Research projects of the Dolphin Discovery Centre Bunbury as an environmental charity. This tour is licensed by Parks and Wildlife Service WA as well as Advance Ecotourism certified for the welfare of the dolphins.
Bookings are essential to avoid disappointment, you must pre-book this experience in advance to guarantee your space. Please also note that this experience runs from November to April (subject to weather and min numbers).
This swim tour is not recommended for poor swimmers as we operate in open water
Minimum number of 8 swimmers, and maximum of 20 swimmers, total passenger numbers including Observers and Swimmer is 20.
Observers can pay to come on the cruise and watch the swim.
This experience will still go ahead in the event of rain or inclement weather. If the experience provider does have to cancel the tour due to poor or dangerous weather, you will be rescheduled by the experience provider directly.
Please bring a swimwear, towel, warm change of clothes, sunscreen, hat and sunglasses. You can bring your own snorkelling gear or wetsuit if you would prefer.
Please note, the dolphins of Koombana Bay are wild animals. In the event you do not get to see the dolphins, you can participate in another dolphin swim tour free of charge.
