Swim alongside the world's largest fish on an unforgettable full-day whale shark safari at Ningaloo Reef. Available between March and June, this incredible experience combines reef snorkelling with the rare opportunity to encounter whale sharks in their natural habitat. Begin the day exploring vibrant coral gardens teeming with marine life, with the chance to spot turtles, reef sharks, stingrays and colourful tropical fish before heading offshore in search of whale sharks.

Guided by a spotter plane, the crew will locate these gentle giants and give you the opportunity to enter the water in small groups for a once-in-a-lifetime swim. To finish the day, enjoy another snorkel stop on the reef before celebrating with a glass of champagne and fresh fruit. With professional guides, snorkel gear, meals, refreshments and a complimentary photography package included, all you need to do is soak up the experience.

Important information

  • This is a full-day experience; please allow eight to 10 hours for the full duration
  • Available from March to June only
  • This tour is only recommended for good swimmers and snorkelers
  • Wildlife sightings and interactions are not guaranteed, as animals are observed in their natural habitat
  • Refunds or repeat experiences are not available if wildlife is not sighted
  • The tour duration depends on how quickly and how far whale sharks can be found
  • This is a seasonal experience; operating between March and June annually
  • Change your booking up to 48 hours before the start time of your experience
  • Changes are not permitted within 48 hours of your experience
  • Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

Minimum of eight and a maximum of 20 participants.

This tour is subject to weather. If strong winds, strong rain and swell are expected, the trip may get postponed or cancelled.

Please bring swimwear and warm clothing, jacket or jumper, and sun protection.

A photographer will be taking photos and/or video footage of your day; available for purchase on a USB for an additional cost at the end of the tour.

A bucket list experience Ticked off

We went on the Whale Shark tour today could not recommend this company enough. I was very hesitant in booking this as I have weakness to my left side after suffering from a stroke. The entire team looked after me, and ensured I was part of every swim. Special mention goes to Tamlyn and Sophie these girls were amazing. Thank you all for this amazing experience
