Feel humbled by the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to swim with majestic humpback whales in the Sunshine Coast during this unique tour. Once a whale is spotted, the trained crew will guide you safely into the water for your chance to experience their glorious presence in their own domain.

Experience the closest thing to magic during this 4 hour boat expedition in the Sunshine Coast. Cruising off from Mooloolaba in a comfortable vessel, you and your experienced crew will be in search of the gentle giants of the underwater world, humpback whales. Once a whale is sighted, the boat will be put into neutral 100m or more away from the whale and if conditions are deemed safe by the trained crew, you'll be led into the water with a floating safety line attached to the boat for your chance to get a little closer to them. Feel spellbound as you share the waters with these majestic creatures and be fascinated by their graceful movements. For those that would prefer not to climb into the waters and get wet, you're welcome to stay on board and watch the magic unfold.

Please note: This experience is 100% on the whales own terms. The supplier will do everything in its power, to ensure whale encounters, but cannot guarantee that you will get to swim with these magnificent sea mammals. If on the day the boat doesn't sight a whale at all, you will be eligible for 50% off your next trip. This is not available if we find whales but are unable to enter the water with them.

Guidelines

The minimum age is eight years and must be able to swim independently in Open Sea conditions.
Participants must be competent swimmers
Standard disclaimer forms to be signed
Anyone who is pregnant or trying to fall pregnant is unable to do the following experiences

Cancellation

Change your booking up to 72 hours before the start time of your experience
Changes are not permitted within 72 hours of your experience
Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

Numbers on the Day

Maximum of 15 participants.

Weather

This experience is subject to sea conditions. If your experience is cancelled due to rough seas you will be rescheduled.

Dress Code

Bring swimwear and a towel. Also bring a warm jacket and water bottle.

Trip cancelled less than 24hrs out

Planned a trip away around dive. Cancelled less than 24hrs out. Unable to book us into any other dives that season. Unable to cancel our accomodation. Only book if you live local.

We were lucky enough to get to see an abundance of whales and swim with two very curious whales who seemed to love all the attention as they kept lapping our boat! Definitely recommend this experience.

Such an amazing day out on the water. The crew do an amazing job at creating the atmosphere and when you see the whales, it's so awe inspiring. Would definitely recommend but just be ready to swim fast.

I bought this as a gift for gummy and friends and it was an outstanding experience for all of them. My 78 year old mum didn’t swim but was treated like a queen and had an amazing time and saw many whales. 5star

Such an amazing experience. The crew really tries their hardest to find the whales and to get you into the water. It is on the whales terms so do not get dissapointed if you cannot swim with them. Trying to find whales is an experience on its own. We were very lucky an saw the whales in the water. Also one of them kent jumping out of the water. An undescribable experience. I’m still speechless.

Was great weather out on the water, and the crew were amazing! Although the whales seemed to be a bit shy and kept their distance, the crew tried their very best to make sure we saw as many whales as we could - both in and out of the water. The crew's energy and liveliness onboard definitely made the tour 100% more enjoyable!
