Learn how to cook classic Spanish dishes including paella mixta, octopus salad, scallop ceviche and a beautiful dessert. You'll spend the morning cooking up a storm before sitting down with a glass of wine at a table overlooking Port Phillip Bay.

Immerse yourself in Spanish culture, learning to cook authentic dishes with intense flavours, colours and aromas. The paella mixta is the showstopper of the class, made with saffron, chicken, meat and shellfish. You'll also learn how to make other classics such saffron aïoli; garlic, chilli and feta Pimientos de Padrone; octopus salad; scallop ceviche; red and green gazpachos; and tuna stuffed peppers.

For dessert, have fun creating favourites like Tarta de Santiago de Compostella, a flourless almond tart, or a crema catalana, an orange and cinnamon infused crème brûlée style custard. After the morning’s cooking, your dishes form a shared feast enjoyed at a beautifully set table with wine, overlooking Port Phillip Bay.

Session Length

  • Full day cooking classes are from 8.45am - 3.30pm on Thursdays, Saturdays and occasional Sundays
  • The cooking class runs until approximately 1pm, and then you will enjoy lunch

Guidelines

  • Please advise of any dietary requirements when making a booking
  • All participants must be over 18 years, unless accompanied by an adult

Cancellation

Once this experience has been confirmed, changes are made at the discretion of the experience provider and arranged directly with them according to their policy.

Numbers on the Day

Classes are limited to nine participants, with one chef plus one kitchen steward assistant.

Dress Code

For safety reasons, participants must wear closed in, comfortable shoes. For health reasons, hair must be tied back while cooking.
