Why buy candles when you can make your own? Join other beginners for a fun, hands on interactive workshop to make two large 60 hour soy candles to add warmth to your home. All products used in the workshop are cruelty free, vegan, palm oil free and phthalate free.
Get creative in this 90 minute interactive, hands on workshop where you'll learn how to create your very own soy candles to add a touch of elegance and vibrance to your home. Taking place in a gorgeous Mornington studio, guests will be welcomed with a glass of bubbly or juice on arrival before beginning the workshop with a lesson about the benefits of soy waxes, wick types and how to add scent to your candles. During the course of the candle making workshop, you’ll make two 33 hour soy candles with your choice of dye colour, glass jar and phthalate free fragrances. From Watermelon to Vanilla Bean, Salted Caramel, Pina Colada, Persian Lime and Lemongrass or the ever popular Coconut lime – the potential is endless. A complimentary DIY booklet is also given to participants so you can put your newfound candle making skills into practice at home.
The duration of this experience is 90 minutes. It is recommended that you arrive 10 minutes prior to the start time of your experience.
You must be a minimum of 16 years old to participate in this workshop. Please request a private workshop to accomodate a range of younger ages.
We need a minimum of 10 students in order to run this class. In the event that we do not reach our minimum this class may be rescheduled.
This experience is not appropriate for viewing by spectators.
This experience is not affected by weather.
An apron will be provided to protect you. Wear comfortable close toed shoes. A comfortable long sleeve top is recommended in case of splashes - soy wax is water soluble so it will wash out of fabric easily.
Your candles can take around 2 to 3 hours to set. We will provide you with a box to transport them. You are also welcome to pop back to collect it on the same day if we are running another workshop after yours, or we can post your candles to you Australia wide for $12 per person- this is an optional extra on the day. We'll also have a range of candle making supplies available for purchase. Merchant facilities on site.
