Jump from 15,000ft in the sky and marvel at sunny Cairns during this tandem skydiving adventure! Experience heart-stopping freefall as you plummet to the ground for 60 seconds, before floating under canopy for up to seven minutes admiring this tropical paradise.

Your adventure will begin with a safety briefing followed by a scenic plane ride to altitude. As the excitement builds, your expert instructor will prepare you for the countdown and together you will make the ultimate jump from up to 15,000 feet above Cairns. After you experience freefall reaching speeds of up to 220km/h, your instructor will pull the chute and you will soar serenely like a bird for up to five minutes taking in the breathtaking views. If you are feeling brave, take control and steer the parachute.

Please allow three hours for this experience
Not available on Christmas Day and New Years Day

Restrictions

Where possible, please notify the experience provider prior to the jump date of any existing medical conditions or illness. Medical conditions which could affect the customer’s safety should be discussed with a doctor to ensure customers are fit to skydive. Please advise if you are taking prescription medication

Guidelines

The minimum age is 16 years. Any participants aged between 16-18 years must have parental or legal guardian consent
Maximum weight is 110kg
Surcharge of $50 applies to any participant weighing between 94kg - 104.9kg
Surcharge of $75 applies to any participant weighing more than 105kg

Cancellation

Change your booking up to 24 hours before the start time of your experience
Changes are not permitted within 24 hours of your experience
Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

Numbers on the Day

Groups can be accommodated depending on the size of the aircraft.

Comfortable clothing suitable to the weather. Comfortable, flat, closed in shoes – no boots or high heels

Unreasonable cost

Having already paid for the experience and arriving on the morning for my jump, I was required to pay an additional substantial fee because my weight was above their predetermined minimum. Now, I'm 190 cm tall and 113 kgs - I'm a large man. I took exception to this and decided not to pay. So, I didn't pay the additional cost and didn't do my jump. What a waste of time and money. I'll never utilise this service. I've jumped before in Tas several times and never encountered this.

Booking doesn't mean anything

I did booked skydiving on redballoon but even though payment made and time slot has been booked, there is no guarantee of booking. You may or may not get skydiving due to staff availability and new time get allocated on the day before booked date. It's really a unfair business practice due to monopoly market by skydive Australia.

Our tandem jump with Skydive the Beach was great. Smooth check in, experienced jump masters, streamlined processes and awesome GoPro video/photos from the experience (extra cost but worth it). Highlight recommend!

I had such a great experience with Skydive Cairns. It was my first jump and I was pretty nervous but my 'Tandem Master' Dan was wonderful and helped me through it. Wanted to go again as soon as we had landed!!!
