Whether your dreams are to become a famous fashion designer or you simply want to learn a new skill, you'll enjoy this informative and hands-on sewing class.Taught by a passionate textile/fashion designer, you will learn the basics of setting up a sewing machine, about different stitches and when best to use them. When you are feeling confident with your technique, you will be shown how to measure, mark and cut your material to create a simple square cushion cover. Leave feeling ready to take on some simple sewing projects at home.

Such a fantastic sewing class for beginners. Would highly recommend. Sophie was a great teacher, perfect balance of patience and knowledge. Loved making a cushion using the skills we had learnt.

It was a very informative and at the same time relaxed and pleasurable experience. Sophie was a great facilitator, very attentive and approachable. I have received a lot knowledge and practice in these 2.5 hour course and would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to learn the skill.

This is such a good class! I was lucky enough to be the only pupil and so had one on one guidance. Sophie is really patient, made sure I did things myself and several times over to remember everything as well. I'm confident now in the use of a sewing machine, to be able to use it on my own now and she even taught me how to sew a button hole (as an extra), which is great. Really great value for money. If you want to learn the basics of using a sewing machine and complete a little project to take home with you, this is a great experience. Thank you so much!

Sophie was so lovely and I really enjoyed the class. Thanks for all the tips and tricks. My kids are fighting over my new cushion, thanks to my new cover, so now I have the skills to make enough for everyone!! Totally recommend the class in a very small but cool art space.
