In this 2-3 hour workshop, you will learn all about setting up a sewing machine, which stitches to use, how to change the bobbin, foot and needle. Once you've had a practice run on some scrap material, put your new skills to use by creating a simple square cushion cover.
Whether your dreams are to become a famous fashion designer or you simply want to learn a new skill, you'll enjoy this informative and hands-on sewing class. Designed for complete beginners, class sizes are limited to just three students to ensure you receive close attention and training throughout the session. Taught by a passionate textile designer, you will learn the basics of setting up a sewing machine, about different stitches and when best to use them, before you are given some scrap material to put your new skills to practice. When you are feeling confident with your technique, you will be shown how to measure, mark and cut your material to create a simple square cushion cover. Leave feeling ready to take on some simple sewing projects at home.
The session will last between 2-3 hours, depending on the number of students who are taking part.

Our sewing workshop is not affected by weather. We will run the classes in all weather conditions.
