This is a great Kuranda option for you! Drive yourself to the Skyrail Smithfield Terminal, and take our luxury coach transfer to Freshwater Station to join the 08:50am Kuranda Scenic Railway journey, one of the most unique rail journeys in Australia. Sit back and relax as this famous railway winds its way to Kuranda, passing spectacular waterfalls and into the beautiful Barron Gorge. Once you arrive in Kuranda, take your time exploring the charming town, with plenty of cafes and restaurants to purchase a snack or meal and the Heritage Markets offering a variety of locally made souvenirs. You can use your BONUS entry voucher to visit either Kuranda Birdworld OR Koala Gardens and meet some Aussie wildlife or you may prefer the nature walk circuit through rainforest and along the riverside.
Your 12.15pm coach transfer back to Skyrail' Smithfield Terminal Carpark, is via the Kuranda Range Road which winds through the rainforest down to the coast and our driver guides' commentary will enhance your journey, as their love and knowledge of the area shine through. (Finish approx 12.45pm)

In July 2026, Skyrail Rainforest Cableway will commence works on an upgrade project. With plans to replace the existing cableway infrastructure and all gondolas, improving the accessibility of Skyrail, as well as providing a quieter, smoother, and enhanced rainforest experience for visitors. During this time, there will be changes to how the tour operates

The Kuranda Scenic Railway is subject to extreme weather conditions resulting in non-operation. In this instance, return Skyrail will be provided to substitute the KSR portion of the tour. You will be advised on the day of travel of alternative arrangements available to you.
