Nice Trip. Bad Communication

William Parker 4 September 2026

Loved the flight. Exciting and very scenic. The people were nice and very helpful. We were booked for Thursday at 10:45 and they switched the trip to Friday at 10:45 and didn't inform us. We found out when we arrived on Thursday, that the day had been changed. So, we wasted an hour commuting each way. In addition, there were 4 of us, and 1 in our party had taken the day off work Thursday and couldn't take another day off on Friday. We understood that there was a breakdown in communications between Red Balloon and Sydney Seaplanes. All this was disappointing.

Customer Experience

Thanks for sharing your feedback. We’re so glad to hear you loved the flight and enjoyed the incredible views. We’ve since spoken with the provider, who confirmed the change to Friday was due to a booking error on their end, rather than a communication issue between RedBalloon and Sydney Seaplanes. They’re very sorry for the inconvenience and frustration this caused, particularly given the additional travel and that one member of your group was unable to return the following day. Unfortunately, weather conditions also meant that flights were unable to operate on Thursday. The provider has since put processes in place to help ensure this booking error doesn’t happen again. We’re glad you were still able to enjoy the flight and appreciate you sharing your experience with us.

Spectacular Sea Plane trip over Sydney beaches and

Mark 9 April 2021

Superbly executed by top pilot and team. Partner was initially nervous of flying however was swept away by the experience. Beautiful views and perspectives of Sydney’s coastline and city! A must for any visitor to Sydney!

Great views and comfy ride

Laura 5 March 2021

We had great weather so made the day excellent. The safety briefing was quick and we were loaded into the plane. The view did it all, but the actual experience wasn't overly special. The activity itself made it fabulous, but there wasn't much other interaction with the staff.

Highly recommended
