Wow, a taste sensation and outstanding restaurant

We had dinner at Poppies, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The food was absolutely amazing — we chose the seafood banquet, and every course delivered a unique and delicious flavour combination. Each dish was beautifully prepared, building into a true taste journey, and the crispy skin barramundi at the end was a perfect highlight. From the moment we arrived, our young waitress made us feel welcome. She was attentive without being intrusive, ensured we had everything we needed, clearly explained the menu, and thoughtfully introduced each course as it was served. Her service really elevated the entire evening. Having dined at several other restaurants along the Southbank strip, Poppies truly stands out. The combination of exceptional food, relaxed atmosphere, and excellent service made for a memorable night. I would highly recommend dining at Poppies to anyone looking for a relaxing experience with outstanding food.

We visited Poppies Southbank after receiving a gift for their Seafood Banquet, and the entire experience surpassed our expectations. The food was exceptional—fresh, generous, and beautifully prepared. Every dish felt like a standout, and we were genuinely surprised by just how good the banquet was. The service was equally impressive. The staff were warm, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcomed throughout our meal. It’s rare to find a place that delivers both outstanding food and outstanding service, but Poppies managed both effortlessly. We would definitely recommend the Poppies Seafood Banquet to anyone looking for a casual and memorable dining experience.
