Unfortunately booking our trip with red balloon was a total pain. We were unable to book the time we wanted on the website so had to call up and was told we could only choose from leaving at 7am or 9am and latest ferry back was 4pm. I booked over the phone with the lady. I then received a confirmation email for the wrong date!! I then called sealink and had to move it to the correct date, I enquired about only being able to return at 4pm and was told we could return at whatever time, we chose the last ferry out 7pm. Sea link fixed the booking and we were able to have a full 12 hour day on rotto with sealink. Red balloon was hopeless from booking us the wrong date and lying about what time we could get back on the ferry. I definitely recommend calling sealink directly and just booking with them dont bother with red ballon!

This is the second time we’ve booked a Rottnest Ferry through RedBalloon and it won’t be the last! We had such a good time and the booking process so super easy. The ferry staff were great and gave us free icey poles, Rottnest island itself was amazing and we had a great day snorkelling. 10/10 recommend to anyone looking at going.

I was disappointed with Red Balloon! I tried to book my voucher and the only time slot I was given for the ferry was 9am. The ferry timetable had far more time slots available. I called the call centre which was in the Phillipines and couldn’t hear the man speaking as there was a noisy rooster in the background! I then called the ferry company and she said I needed to select the 9am ferry on Red Balloon and then call the ferry company back to book a different time. I did this but then when I rang the ferry company they didn’t have my voucher! There are a couple of different Rottnest ferry companies and Red Balloon did not make it clear at all which ferry company. I was disappointed with Red Balloon.
