Great learning experience with a Japanese chef

Stewart 24 April 2024

This was great fun for my wife and I. Our chef was the real deal and she walked us through everything needed to make Tonkotsu ramen. It was fun to make and tasted great.

Stamping on the dough for the noodles.

Angela 17 August 2019

It was an unforgettable experience at the VIVE cooking School Raman & Japanese. I learnt how to make this delicious noodle Soup. I will be trying it out again inviting my faimily to taste. The chefs were wonderful and very professional and we all had lots of fun the three hours moved so quickly as we all enjoyed every bit of it. Angela

Delicious Ramen and Interesting Class

Clare 7 July 2019

Positive: The Ramen and Japanese cooking class was good. Making the noodles were very interesting and eating the food afterwards was lots of fun. Negative: In the class we only made noodles, picked eggs and poached chicken with all other elements of the dish being made for us. The course had an 18 hour broth recipe so it was pre-made for us, and we did not learn any quicker recipes which would be more manageable at home afterwards. Our teacher spoke of much shorter broth recipes that we would make home but these were not in the class, nor could they suggest where to get these recipes other than "the internet". Overall: Class was interesting and an insight on how the process of ramen and the condiments are made, however, not much hands on cooking or ramen broth recipes to actually be able to make at home.
