Enjoy an exclusive Bonorong experience with this fully guided, conservation-focused private tour, reserved solely for your group. There will be no other guests joining your tour, allowing for a more personalised, flexible and intimate wildlife experience. Enter the Sanctuary after the gates have closed, and experience the magic of seeing our curious native wildlife during their natural waking hours. For 3 hours, your personal guide will immerse you in Tasmanian wildlife, introducing you to some of our gorgeous resident animals and sharing their individual stories. You will also receive a guided tour of ‘The Journey’, an interpretive walkway that takes you through the journey of an injured animal, giving you more information on our 24/7/365 Wildlife Rescue Service and a look inside the Wildlife Hospital that is crucial to our core work of rescuing, rehabilitating and releasing injured wildlife. All proceeds directly support our Wildlife Rescue Service and Wildlife Hospital.

Session Length

Please allow three hours for the duration of this experience
Start time varies depending on the time of the year. April to September - 5:15pm. October to March - 5:30pm

Restrictions

Bookings are essential. Same-day bookings are not permitted. 48-hours notice is required for booking.

Guidelines

Children under 16 years of age must be accompanied by a paying adult
If you are allergic to latex you must also advise this at the time of booking. Latex free gloves are available on request

Cancellation

Change your booking up to 48 hours before the start time of your experience
Changes are not permitted within 48 hours of your experience
Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

Numbers on the Day

This experience runs with a minimum of one and a maximum of ten participants.

Spectators

Spectators are not allowed, only full fee paying guests can join the tour.

Weather

This is an all-weather Sanctuary. In the event of inclement weather tours will proceed as normal unless contacted by the experience provider directly.

Dress Code

It is recommended to bring warm clothes and comfortable shoes that you don't mind getting a bit dirty.

Patting and feeding so many animals was amazing

Our night tour of Bonorong included feeding echidnas, quolls, tassie devils, tawny frogmouths, kangaroos and a variety or birds. We also got to pat a couple of sugar gliders, a possum, blue tongue lizard and view a few other animals. Our tour guide was so knowledgeable and friendly. It's one of the best tours I've ever done. I highly recommend this tour for any animal lover. Plus it's a great way to support a wildlife park that's committed to rehabilitating and releasing wildlife and rescuing those that can't be released.

The night tour was a truly unique and wonderful experience we will treasure. Our guide Robyn is clearly passionate and skilled in her work at the sanctuary. Her warm and considerate approach to the tour made the experience special. Her vast experience and many interesting stories make it clear what an asset she is to the organisation. I would unreservedly recommend the experience to anyone. Bonorong genuinely cares about the welfare of animals that live there, it is not just a tourist attraction. Our time here stands out as one of our most treasured holiday memories.

The tour guide Robyn was amazing! Great night feeding the animals and getting to know their stories. All for a great cause they do incredible work for the wildlife throughout TAS, very great full to have been apart of it.

This is for the animal lovers, you will be squealing with joy! We had such a wonderful time feeding the residents of the sanctuary, guided by our knowledgeable tour guide Emma. We learned so much about the animals and didn’t miss a second of hands on experience. I would do this tour again in a heartbeat.

WOW! Although we did this back in Oct 2018, the memories are simply incredible. To be up close to and feed her beloved Tassie Devils was on my dear friend's bucket list. We had the most amazing time with our Guide, who went above and beyond for us. Sadly my friend has passed now, but these memories I treasure and the sheer delight on her face I will always remember and be grateful for.
