If you've ever wanted to soar like an eagle and get a birds eye view of the world, well, the closest thing to this type of silent flight is with a tandem paragliding flight high over the Victorian alpine high country! On the day of this extraordinary experience, we'll meet you at the allocated landing zone. Your tandem flight will be with a six times Australian paragliding champion, so you can feel safe in knowing that you''re in the best possible hands. We'll take a short and very scenic drive to the launch site which overlooks the township of Bright. From this stunning vantage point you can enjoy the spectacular views while your qualified tandem pilot sets up the paraglider and straps you in for a breathtaking experience.

What's more, your experience will be recorded onto a video so that you can watch your paragliding experience and share it with friends and family for many years to come! Once you're ready to go, you'll take a few steps forward towards the face of the hill and then suddenly, your feet are no longer in contact with the ground. You're finally experiencing the freedom of silent flight as you soar like a bird for approximately 30 minutes, riding the thermal air beneath you.

Please allow up to 60 minutes for the experience

Weight limit up to 105kg

Guidelines

You must be 10 years or older to participate in this experience.

Cancellation

Change your booking up to 7 days before the start time of your experience
Changes are not permitted within 7 days of your experience
Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

Numbers on the Day

The price quoted is for one person. You will be with your paragliding pilot on the day of your experience. Groups of up to 20 can be catered for.

Weather

This experience may be affected by the weather. Please contact the supplier two days prior to your flight to check weather conditions. In the event of unsuitable conditions, your experience will be rescheduled for a later date. If cancelled due to the weather, you may only re-schedule as this supplier has a no cancellation policy.

Dress Code

Warm and comfortable clothing and suitable footwear such as sneakers are recommended.

Other Info

You will need to sign a waiver prior to participating in this experience. As a requirement of this experience, you will also be signed up as a trainee member of SAFA, which is included in the price of the experience.

This experience takes place in Bright, VIC - approximately 3.5 hours north-east of Melbourne.

My wife & I took the thermic tandem paragliding flight which was an amazing experience. We rode the thermals soaring high above Bright with spectacular 360 degrees views. We felt we were in expert hands with Fred as 7 times Australian champion & his wife Malin who did a great job of making our experience so enjoyable and relaxed. Best experience I’ve ever had!!! The views over Bright were amazing (especially at autumn with the leaf changing colour) The team were great at making you feel comfortable before you took off and informed about what was going to happen so you prepared.

This is the second flight I have had with the same company . On this occasion the weather seemed a lot more favorable and we achieved a very high altitude . The mountain scenery is breath taking and included views to Mount Buffalo , Falls Creek and Hotham . Not sure exactly how long we were flying for it would have been at least 30 minutes. The take off and landing were effortless thanks to the pilots precise instructions. Its a fantastic experience and I would recommend it to anyone who can run a short distance. I am on the wrong side of 70 and had no difficulties whatsoever.

Paragliding - an experience not to be forgotten!

As one who is scared of heights this was a challenge, but with a bit of courage and a deep breath I took to the skies over Bright. The operator was excellent and I was soon having a great time and my fears were soon forgotten. The ride was smooth and felt very secure, and the views spectacular.

If you have ever wondered what it would be like to soar like an eagle; just you, the elements and magnificent scenery...oh and the guy actually flying the paraglider...then this is for you.
