Step into a wonderland of natural treasures during this guided tour of North Stradbroke Island. Relax on the pristine sands and enjoy a dip in the crystalline waters, take gorgeous shots at Cylinder Beach, wander along the magnificent Gorge Walk and learn about the island's rich culture and history.
Get out of the hustle and bustle and explore a world of stunning beaches, coastal walks and rich marine life and history at North Stradbroke Island. Departing Brisbane CBD early, make the 45 minute commute to the ferry port, before the relaxing journey across the bay. The first stop of the day is Brown Lake, where you'll learn about the island and its historic and cultural importance to the Quandamooka People from your knowledgable guide, and enjoy a dip into the refreshing waters. Make a quick stop at Myora Springs, before continuing to the northwest side of the island for brilliant photo opportunities and a walk at Cylinder Beach. This is followed by perhaps the highlight of the day, the magnificent Gorge Walk. Taking up to 45 minutes to complete, you'll be rewarded with views of the Coral Sea and the South Pacific Ocean as you meander along the paths, with the chance to spot diverse marine life like manta rays, turtles and dolphins.
Fuel up with some nutritious lunch at Point Lookout and soak up the calming ambience with some down time on the beach at Amity Point. Your guide will then take you on a secret walk to spot wild koalas, or feel free to stay on the beach to lounge some more. After a full day of exploring, relax on the ferry journey to the mainland and expect to be back at Brisbane at around 4pm.
