What's included?

2 hour night photography lesson
Small group of 6 or less

In groups of 6 or less, you will start your lesson with an introduction of how to set up your camera and tripod to achieve picture perfect results. This practical photography workshop will introduce you to some very simple, yet inspiring techniques for shooting after dark. As the light changes you will learn how to expose for mood, compose inventive night portraits, artfully capture moving lights and take a variety of photos in low light situations. You will also receive class notes to compliment your practical learning experience. Take part in this top quality class and ensure you never make a amateur mistake again!

Session Length

This Night Photography Class runs for two hours
It begins at sunset and thus commences at different times throughout the year

Guidelines

Participants need their own camera equipment (inc film or digital camera, tripod, memory card and fully-charged battery)
Tripods can be hired for a fee, cable release or remote also recommended
NOT suitable for compact cameras without full manual capability

Cancellation

Change your booking up to 7 days before the start time of your experience
Changes are not permitted within 7 days of your experience
Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

Numbers on the Day

This workshop runs with a minimum of 2 people and maximum of 6 people. If minimum numbers are not met we will reschedule the course.

Weather

This experience will run indoors and in undercover locations if the weather conditions are wet. If severe weather is forecast we may reschedule the course.

Dress Code

Comfortable and warm clothing.

Other Info

This workshop is suitable for ages 14+ with a basic level of fitness.

Thoroughly enjoyed this workshop. It was great fun and I learned a lot. The instructor, Robert, was very knowledgeable and made the instructions easy to understand. We tried techniques I had read about but never actually tried. With Robert's guidance, trying them became easy.

I attended the Night Photography Workshop & I found it Fantastic. Robert was not only very knowledgeable but he was able to pass that knowledge on in a very clear & easy to understand way. This course was excellent. There were only 4 people on the course and the provider said he keeps his courses to small numbers so he can give maximum time to the participants. I found his teaching method to be patient but very informative. He explained in detail what we would do and then he moved around helping us individually. I learnt a lot. We went to three seperate, but close by, locations and explored different techniques. My only suggestion would be if he could prepare a couple of pages as a handout for us to use as a memory jogger after the course.

My Night Photography Course was really helpful, Exciting an fun fill experience. I learnt more about taking quality night pics than I ever thought I would. Also being shown how to get a "good eye for the shot" we a very helpful tip. we took photos of all manner of things from great river shots to fun shots on how to be a Ghost. Highly recommend this package to even a intermediate photographer as having a guide show you how to get a good "eye for the shot" really helped.
