Feel the adrenaline surge through your body as you put your hands on the wheel, foot on the pedal, and take off around a real race track on this incredible V8 driving experience. You'll feel like a real V8 driver at Queensland's premier V8 venue with 5 blistering laps around the track in a Generation 3 Mustang or Camaro Race Car, which are new to Australia, plus three high speed passenger laps driven by a racing driver.

Youll be run through a driver safety and track briefing to get you ready to drive. This will include topics like braking, cornering, apexes, and overtaking, and you'll be introduced to the vehicles and your driving instructors. Many instructors are current or ex V8 drivers and theyll be in the car with you and communicating by radio intercom to help you make the most out of your driving experience.

Fully prepared, you'll accelerate out of the pits and onto the straight. With no speed limit at Queensland Raceway, test your limits and see how much speed you can handle under the guidance of your coach. With five unreal laps around the track, you'll soon realise how easy it is to drive this purpose build racing car.

But the fun's not over. Next, you'll be harnessed into the passenger seat to discover what these cars are capable of when a professional racing driver is at the wheel. Remember to invite friends and family along, it's seriously exciting from the sidelines!

Important information

Session Length

Please allow two to three hours for this experience, including the briefing and driving
Race days are held throughout the year on specified dates

Restrictions

If you have a concern with respect to health issues, especially shortness of breath, it is recommended that you seek professional advice from your family doctor before commencing this experience.

Guidelines

Participants must be at least 18 years and hold your Learner's Licence with a minimum 50 hours log booked
Cars are manual however no prior experience of driving a manual transmission vehicle is required
Participants who arrive on the day of their experience and do not adhere to these guidelines will forfeit their experience
You will be required to sign an indemnity form prior to participating in the experience
All minors must be accompanied by a parent and/or legal guardian on the day
A current photo ID for both the passenger (student ID) and parent will need to be shown along with proof of guardianship, ie Medicare card
If you normally wear spectacles, it is essential that they are soft frames and face fitting to ensure that they fit inside the helmet, contact lenses are not a preferred option as they often become dislodged
A video of your experience is available for an additional fee (around $50), payable directly to the supplier
Minimum height of 135cm and a maximum height of 194cm
Maximum weight limit is 120kg
Please note there is a phone mount on the dash of the car that you can put your own mobile phone in, to record your experience

Cancellation

Change your booking up to 14 days before the start time of your experience
Changes are not permitted within 14 days of your experience
Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

Numbers on the Day

Your briefing will be held in a group of approximately 15 to 20 people.

Spectators

Spectators will love watching the high speed action from the pit lane, so remember to bring them along!

Weather

The drive may be interrupted or cancelled due to inclement weather as driving at high speed on a wet track can be dangerous. Please contact the experience provider to confirm the status of the day. In the case of your drive being cancelled due to weather, your experience will be rescheduled.

Dress Code

Please wear comfortable clothing as the race suit will need to go over any clothing you choose to wear. Fully enclosed, flat soled shoes, long sleeves and long pants are required (normal runners are fine).

Fantastic Experience

The race cars are simply fantastic ! The coaches really get you to push your comfort zone and when it’s time to come back to the pits, you actually feel like you can race a car !
