Being off season and mid week, it was very quiet. But we still got the highly regimented booking regime - requiring us to conform to exact timings. Clearly, in peak season, the priority is on getting more people through the door, rather than enabling a long and relaxed sojourn with a group of friends. That said, the time allowed is reasonable for a couple. So, the gluten thing... We signaled in advance that we are both gluten intolerant. They handled that by substituting the breads with crackers, and restricting the desert options. That's plain lazy. I have been cooking gluten free for 20 years now. There is NOTHING I can't make just as week with GF flour as I could make with wheat flour. A tiny bit of effort can lead a restaurant operator to many suppliers of ready made gluten free products that are just plain superb. Gluten free bead products can be frozen so there need be no waste while still providing customers with a excellent dining experience. It's time to include ratings for how restaurants perform in the dietary requirements space. We don't choose to have inconvenient dietary restrictions: Chefs choose to punish us with limited choice because they are too lazy to do the work. The venue is particularly beautiful on a warm day, with the olive grove and orchards and pond. They sat us outside, which was just beautiful. We were quite surprised by how big the plates were. The food was delicious, the wine lovely, as was the coffee and dessert. Overall, I'd happily recommend this experience. Although it was busy at the venue and we had to wait a while before our food arrived, it was well worth the wait. The Fam Produce Lunch and Wine for 2 was good value. We got to choose 2 platters which we shared and made sure we chose a different one each, a glass of wine, 2 desserts and coffee each. I would go back just to have the slow cooked lamb platter which was full of flavour. Staff were lovely and friendly. If it was such a hot day it would have been nice to walk down to the pond.
