Take to the skies with a 30 minute introductory flying lesson departing from Camden Airport and experience what it's really like to pilot an aircraft. Your adventure begins with a pre flight briefing from a qualified instructor, who will explain the fundamentals of flight, aircraft controls and what to expect once you're airborne. After becoming familiar with the aircraft, you'll step aboard either a Citabria or Piper Warrior, both well suited to first time flyers and aspiring pilots.

Once in the air, you'll have the opportunity to take the controls under the guidance of your experienced instructor, learning the fundamentals of "stick and rudder" flying while taking in sweeping views of the Macarthur region below. This hands on flying experience provides an exciting introduction to aviation and the skills used by pilots every day. Whether you're considering flying lessons, logging time towards a pilot's licence or just ticking a lifelong dream off your bucket list, it's an unforgettable experience.

The flight duration is 30 minutes
Please allow additional time for this experience to include your pre flight briefing and debrief
Available on demand Sunday to Friday
Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your experience
Available booking times: 8am, 8.45am, 9.30am, 10.15am, 11am, 11.45am, 1pm, 1.45pm, 2.30pm, 3.15pm and 4pm

Restrictions

This experience is for one person only.

Guidelines

Maximum weight of 120kg
Maximum height of 191cm
You must be able to understand and act upon/respond to instructions provided in English
Participants must be in good health with no major medical illness and at least 12 years of age. If you are 12 years of age and under 18 years, you must obtain written parental consent
No particular level of fitness is required but people with epilepsy cannot fly
No experience is required; you will be supervised by an expert instructor at all times
No heavy drinking the night before and a decent breakfast on the morning are recommended

Cancellation

Change your booking up to 48 hours before the start time of your experience
Changes are not permitted within 48 hours of your experience
Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

Numbers on the Day

This voucher is valid for one person for a one-on-one experience with a professional pilot.

Weather

Flights cannot go ahead if there is reduced visibility, low clouds and storm activity.

Dress Code

Please wear loose comfortable clothing as it can get quite warm in the cockpit and sturdy shoes. Sunglasses are a must as the glare off clouds can be quite severe. A cap is also a good idea.
