Learn the art of making unique Japanese moss balls during fun hands-on workshop! Guided by Ikebana artist Azumi, you will learn how to create kokedama, a style of bonsai consisting of petite plants growing out of a special ball of soil and moss. You can choose to have your kokedama within a ceramic tray or bound by string. During the class, you will learn the basics of kokedama, taking the knowledge and skills with you to continue making them at home. You will also be shown the basic care and conditioning techniques to keep your plant thriving. Perfect for those who love to be immersed with nature and don't mind getting their hands dirty. Take home a ceramic tray and give your room a splash of life with this unique style of bonsai plant!

A 30% fee applies for cancellations made within 7 days before the workshop.

This was a lovely way to spend an afternoon. Set in a beautiful and cozy space, you get to play and learn how to make portable living pot plants made from moss, hosted by the lovely Azumi, veteran florist and skilled in the art of Ikebana and kokedama.

A fun, easy and serene activity with Azumi. You will take home your own plant and a ceramic dish to keep it in. The lovely Azumi demonstrates everything and then you get to have fun! Instructions on how to care for your Kokedama included, where to buy materials if you want to make more at home, and an offer of followup support. Would recommend to everyone from older children on up.
