Kangaroo Island is not only famous for its pristine, rugged wilderness and unique wildlife, but also for its thriving food and wine industry. Discover everything it has to offer during this full day tour from Adelaide. Wake up early for a transfer from selected Adelaide hotels to the ferry terminal at Cape Jervis, before being whisked away to this island paradise. You'll first visit the incredible Raptor Domain for the exciting and educational free flight Birds of Prey presentation. Meet an array of birds including a wedge tailed eagle, barn owl and kookaburras, and learn more about them and their role in the environment. You'll then head to Emu Ridge Eucalyptus Distillery for a divine two course lunch followed by an introductory talk about the history of the distillery and a guided tour. Feel free to taste some of their delicious cider for an additional cost.
Next, travel to Clifford's Honey Farm for an informative guided tour of the honey room where you will learn about the extraction process, taste a honey soft drink and have the option to sample the Drunken Drone Brewery's Honey Wheat Ale. Continue to Pennington Bay, a breathtaking beach on the south coast of the island for a photo op, before ending with a structured wine tasting at False Cape Wines Cellar Door on the beautiful Dudley Peninsula. If you're feeling peckish, you'll have ample time for dinner at the Penneshaw Hotel before your transfers back to Adelaide.
