Experience what it's like to pilot a Boeing 737! Sit in the Captain's seat alongside a qualified pilot and select from a variety of flight scenarios that are set to challenge. Overcome obstacles such as poor weather, difficult airports or loss of engine over 30 suspenseful minutes!

Ever dreamt of flying the amazing Boeing 737-800 NG? You now have the opportunity to fulfil your dream in a jet flight simulator! Your flight will be conducted with an experienced pilot by your side to verbally guide you through your journey. They will also act as your First Officer so you can fill the role of Captain and command a genuine flight deck. This mission flight is set to test your skills against various scenarios of your choice such as poor weather, difficult or dangerous airports, loss of engines or equipment, or other challenging tasks such as flying under the Sydney Harbour Bridge! No experience is necessary, the level of difficulty is adapted to suit each individual's requirements.

This experience is 30 minutes in duration
Opening hours: Monday to Sunday 10am - 8pm

Guidelines

Minimum age is six years
Participants must be under 135 kg
Minors must be accompanied by an adult at all times
Please note, your preferred time and date may not be able to be confirmed by the experience provider. Bookings are not guaranteed until a confirmation is sent by RedBalloon

Cancellation

Change your booking up to 48 hours before the start time of your experience
Changes are not permitted within 48 hours of your experience
Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

Numbers on the Day

This voucher is valid for one person. You will receive one-on-one instruction from the pilot.

Spectators

You can bring up to four passengers to sit in and watch for free.

My instructor Ivan took me thorough an orientation of the realistic cockpit of a Boeing 737 gave me instructions on the basics and it was then hands on take off, flying and landing in real life simulations of airports around the globe. Ivan was a fantastic instructor.

After doing a Learn to Fly in Bathurst in a 2 seater Ultra Light.. this was the big step forward. I found this to be a lot harder, more coordination and more concentration was needed. Overall it was an enjoyable experience. Instructor forgot to put a video in to record my experience so I missed out on being able to show my wife and friends. I cant tell you his name as he didn't offer a name when I arrived.. flight was done on the 28.12.19.

I've taken many flights, but never been in the cockpit. Now I can say I've flown a plane (well simulated anyway)! The instructor was great from the get go. He gave a general overview of how the plane flies and some basics, followed by an overview of the controls in the cockpit, with a focus on those that we've be using. Next I got to take off and fly around the Canberra region for a little bit, and land. Next was flying in and our of Sydney Airport. It is an incredibly lifelike experience, and it feels so real with the visuals incredibly real. Before I knew it our time was up! But not before the instructors showed me a replay of my landing. It was so much fun! The time went so fast! I would love to do this again some time. And the instructor had such a great sense of humour. I loved this experience!!
