Get ready to be captivated by the world of drifting. In this introductory session you'll learn the basics to initiate and control a car. You'll be shown the core skills needed to perform drift handbrakes and donuts on a professional track before the pro shows how it's really done!

What's included?

Technique 1 - Drift Handbrake Entry: Learn how to initiate the drift. Four hands-on attempts
Technique 2 - Drift Donut: Learn how to control the drift by utilising steering input and throttle control. Two minutes of hands-on experience
Drift Battle Hot Laps: Ride with our professional competitive drifters where they battle side by side with each other over Two Laps - one in the 'lead lap' and another one in the 'chase lap'
Professional photography throughout the course.

After a briefing on general drifting principals and safety, you'll be strapped in alongside a professional instructor to guide you through the course and manoeuvres. Then you will take the wheel yourself to learn and perfect techniques such as drift handbrakes and drift donuts. Next up prepare for a hair-raising drifting experience as you are strapped in with D1 World All Star & Drift Australia Champion, Fernando Wiehrl, as he and another professional competition drifter will take you on a thrill ride of your life in a real, head-to-head drift battle!

All cars are purpose built specifically for drifting to give you the full, raw experience. These include Nissan Skyline R32, Nissan Silvia S14, Nissan Silvia S15, Nissan 350z, Toyota 86, Holden Commodore and Ford Falcon. Learn to push these professional cars to the limit on a safe, track environment.

Session Length

1:30 PM Session: 1:15 PM arrival for 1:30 PM driver's briefing
2:30 PM Session: 2:15 PM arrival for 2:30 PM driver's briefing
3:30 PM Session: 3:15 PM arrival for 3:30 PM driver's briefing
Please allow up to 1 hour for the duration of the event. Session start times may also vary. Both are depending on variables on the day such as class size and weather.

Restrictions

No weight or height restrictions.

Guidelines

To be minimum age of 16 years (Under 18’s will require adult’s consent).
To bring and wear long pants and long sleeve shirt (No nylon, cotton preferred. Jackets, jumpers and jeans are acceptable).
To bring and wear full enclosed shoes (joggers, sneakers are acceptable).
Confidence with driving a manual car.

Cancellation

Change your booking up to 7 days before the start time of your experience
Changes are not permitted within 7 days of your experience
Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

Numbers on the Day

You will be in a group of up to 15 other participants.

Spectators

Family and Friends of participant's are more than welcome to come.

Weather

The event will go ahead if it rains. Safety is our number one priority and the event may be postponed in the event of very extreme weather conditions. You will be notified by text/email should this be the case.

Dress Code

ALL participants MUST wear a LONG SLEEVED TOP, LONG PANTS and ENCLOSED SHOES (Jackets, Jumpers, Jeans, Track Pants are all fine), otherwise you will be excluded from the event and your experience will be forfeited. If you have your own an ADR Approved Helmet, you are welcome to bring it along, otherwise we will have one supplied for you.

Customer service told me I don’t need to know how to drive a manual car to learn the drifting experience. Told otherwise when I got there. Be careful what you buy!

This experience was fantastic for anyone who likes speed and a bit of adrenalin. The company was run efficiently, the drivers were a good blend of professional and a bit of banter, and overall I had a really great time.

The 2 seater ride was fun. The car was much smaller than I imagined it would be. The track is not the most exciting to drive as it’s pretty much a square with a couple extra corners on one side. I’m around 5’5” and there was no where i could push my feet against to brace for the very hard and intense corner braking leaving me to only use my hands on a small metal handlebar. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and they were busy too. I would recommend to others.

What an absolute adrenalin rush. The event was organised very well and I found all the staff to be extremely pleasant. The two drivers that took me out were friendly, very chatty and also just genuinely good fun. They made the experience a blast. I was a tad cautious, but ended up screaming, cheering and whooping the whole time. Would do it again in a heartbeat.

Drift battle experience was awesome. I have been to the drifts before and got this as a present. Driver was an awesome guy and happy to chat. Highly recommend drift school Australia and will be coming back for the driving experiences.
