Embrace the best of the iconic Hunter Valley with this partnership experience that combines a Tulloch Wines "Hunter Heroes" wine tasting with a delicious two-course a la carte lunch at the chef-hatted award-winning Hunters Quarter Restaurant. You decide how the experience will go, choosing to start your day with a wine tasting followed by lunch (the 11:00 am booking), or lunch followed by your tasting (the 12:30 pm booking), with the two locations separated by just a short two-minute drive or an easy 10-minute walk.

Your wine experience will see you immerse yourself in the history of Tulloch Wines, tasting six wines perfectly representing the "Hunter Heroes", including the best-known grape varieties of the Hunter: Semillon, Shiraz, Chardonnay and Verdelho. You'll even have the chance to compare an aged Hunter wine with the current release wines. Plus, this is a family-friendly tasting with Kids' Junior Tasting and Teenagers' Kombucha Tasting experiences available.

During your contemporary, a la carte dining experience, you'll be able to indulge in a two-course lunch at Hunters Quarter, owned and operated by a husband and wife team, where Chef Brian Duncan creates dishes with global flavours using local produce. Situated in a unique and beautiful setting, you will be able to relax on the private terrace overlooking the vineyards and enjoy welcoming service. The perfect place to while away a few hours with family, friends and fantastic food, you won't want to miss this unforgettable Hunter Valley experience!

This is a half-day experience
Available every Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 11:00 am and 12:30pm except Good Friday and Christmas Day

Guidelines

All visitors to our Cellar Door including children require a booking
Participants must be 18 years and over to consume alcohol; photo ID may be required
Kids Junior Tasting and Teens Kombucha Tasting can only be booked in addition to an adult wine tasting
Please let us know if you have any food allergies
If you choose the 11:00 am booking you start with your wine tasting at Tulloch Wines followed by lunch
For the 12:30 pm booking you start with lunch at Hunters Quarter followed by your wine tasting
Transport between Tulloch Wines and Hunters Quarter is at guests own arrangement

Cancellation

Change your booking up to 48 hours before the start time of your experience
Changes are not permitted within 48 hours of your experience
Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

Amazing experience for adults and children alike

I can't decide if the wine, the staff or the kids experience was the highlight! The staff went above and beyond to make our 3 and 7 year olds feel included with their kids tasting, explaining the tasting process. The wines and take home gifts were fantastic and very generous. We also ended up buying a few extra bottles because the wine was really lovely. Highly recommend, one of the best experiences in the Hunter Valley particularly with kids.

Tulloch cellar door is an attractive venue in a lovely location. Rebecca was a most attentive host who took us through a very thoughtful pairing of exceptional chocolates with selected wines. And the proof of the pudding? We bought more wines!

We had a great wine and chocolate tasting at Tullochs. We were told how the best way to get the best taste out if both products and then left to enjoy both at our leisurely pace. Being able to go away with the best two wines we enjoyed and chocolates made the day.

Our wines and chocolate guide, Clare, was a delightful host. The whole experience was just lovely and in a scenic location. If you booked through Red balloon you get free chocs and wine at the end of the experience which makes it terrific value!

We had a wonderful tasting at Tulloch Wines. Dave was very knowledgeable and fun as he talked us through our flight. The pairings were amazing and needless to say we made some great purchases and loved our gifts. Pet friendly which is awesome. Must do if you are in the Hunter Valley and love chocolate. We're locals and loved it.

My husband and I throughly enjoyed our chocolate and wine pairing experience. The staff member that sat and spoke with us was lovely. She spoke on each individual wine and chocolate we were about to taste. When she was finished talking to us about the products we were left to taste. She came back to check in on us but it was nice and relaxed a lovely afternoon. After the experience we were able to pick 2 wines to bring home as well as receive 2 boxes of chocolates. Would definitely do this experience again.
