The second tasting we were brought to for gin and vodkas was a cellar door that provided free tastings anyhow, and wasn’t a great experience. For lunch, we went to 4Pines brewery and there was a massive moth in my salad. When the tour finished up, our driver started to head back to Sydney and forgot to bring us to the local drop off spot. I was under the impression this was a day tour for those staying locally (as was advertised), but it seems it’s a day tour for Sydney siders too. ★★★★★ ★★★★★ Hunter Valley wine tour tasting and lunch- awesome Casey 19 April 2021 This wine tour experience was one of our first in the hunter valley, although it was raining the experience was great! with a tour of ten people on the bus the tour guide made a miserable rainy day into a birthday celebration to remember! We stopped at 3 vineyards and one distillery, at the first vineyard they run through what to look for in wine tasting and educate you on the wine processing steps so you were aware of what you should be looking for and aware of throughout the remainder of the day! we had an brilliant sit down lunch at the 2nd vineyard with cheese tasting and felt calm/ relaxed throughout the day in spite of being on a timeline. The 3rd vineyard included chocolate tasting and finally some great vodkas and liquors to warm us up before heading back! Our Tour guide was more than happy to take pictures of the group and even went one step further to get the right angles/ effects to capture the experience. Bonus! Would certainly book again.
★★★★★ ★★★★★ Hunter Valley Tasting Tour with Lunch Alison 10 April 2021 Unfortunately I can not write a review about this experience as 2 days before booking date, it was cancelled due to only 2 people attending. They did kindly organise another company to take our tour but was told the lady would call us that day to confirm times etc. We arrived at the Hunter 24 hours later not knowing if we had a tour or not. left numerous messages on answering machine as it was the whole purpose of the accommodation booking etc was to have the tour. Finally at 4pm the day before tour I rang and was told it would definitely go ahead and the time of pickup. Organising children and work so that we could go away for our 28th wedding anniversary, I thought the wine tour would simplify organising which vineyards etc to attend - sadly this did not happen. All other Red Balloon experiences I have booked have been excellent. Will not be booking this again.

We enjoyed lunch at the Cypress Golf Resort. Last we went to a vodka distillery for more tasting. The driver was very nice and a looked after us all.
