Restrictions

Everyone potentially is able to go ballooning, although limitations do apply. It is a Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) and company requirement that all Passengers flying with the Operator must be able to embark and disembark a balloon basket for safety reasons. Please refer to "Guidelines" for additional information.

Guidelines

• Child: 6 to 12 years old. Children are welcome and must be accompanied by a paying adult. The child must be able to see over the edge of the basket (1.2m high) unaided by any person or objects for safety reasons. Infants are not permitted due to the Civil Aviation and Safety Authority (CASA) regulations and guidelines
• If you have a medical condition that you feel may cause some concern (such as a heart condition) and you’re planning to fly, it is best to check with your doctor for an opinion on whether you should go
• Please advise the booking office if you are over 85kg or have any medical issues
• Anyone over 110kg may incur a 50% surcharge (payable direct to the supplier). Due to safety factors passengers over 130kg cannot participate in hot air ballooning
• Disabled passengers are able to balloon, although limitations do apply due to the Civil Aviation and Safety Authority (CASA) regulations. CASA requires that all passengers are able to embark and disembark a balloon basket unassisted for safety reasons. No wheelchair facilities are available
• Pregnant women are not permitted to take part in this experience
• All passengers must complete and sign a standard company Registration, Medical Check and Assumption of Risk form before the flight

Cancellation

• Change your booking up to 14 days before the start time of your experience
• Changes are not permitted within 14 days of your experience
• Any flight altered or cancelled between 8 and 14 days prior to flight date & time* – will incur a $25 cancellation/ alteration fee per person. This may be charged directly at the time, deducted from your refund or credit will held against the re-booking of your flight.
• Any flight altered or cancelled between 72 hours (3 days) and 7 days prior to flight date & time* will incur a rebooking fee of $50.00 per person. This may be charged directly at the time, deducted from your refund or credit will held against the re-booking of your flight.
• Any flight altered or cancelled within 72 hours prior to flight date & time* will forfeit the full fare per person and will not be refunded.
• Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

Numbers on the Day

This voucher is valid for two people. This is not a private or exclusive flight. There will be a minimum of four people and a maximum of 10 people only in the basket during your flight. In the event that minimum numbers are not met, the experience provider reserves the right to reschedule your experience for a later date.

Spectators

If a friend or family member wishes to be a non-flying participant and watch the balloon activities from the ground alongside the crew, they are more than welcome in their own transportation. If family or friends wish to join the after flight restaurant breakfast, bookings can be made direct with the supplier after your flight booking is confirmed - an additional cost of $25 per child (up to 12 years) & $35 per adult restaurant breakfast charge for non-flying participants, with 24 hours notice required.

Weather

All passengers must telephone the operator booking office the night prior to the flight between 7.00 - 7.30 pm to confirm flight time and weather conditions. This experience is completely weather dependent. In the event of poor weather, the experience provider will reschedule your experience for a later date.

Dress Code

Hot air ballooning is an outdoor, early morning, soft adventure activity. Comfortable layers of outdoor clothing to match the season are recommended, a hat and sturdy shoes for the morning dew. No open foot wear or high heels are permitted. We recommendx dress as though you are going for a bush walk.

Public Holiday Note: After-flight restaurant breakfast component of this tour may not be available on Public Holidays, pending external restaurant supplier opening hours. Customers will be notified prior to flight if this is to occur.
