Experience the thrill of a hot air balloon flight over the Greater Brisbane region at sunrise, followed by a restaurant breakfast. This city to country expedition will have you flying over Ipswich, Scenic Rim and Somerset, offering stunning vistas as the region awakens.
The Greater Brisbane region including Ipswich, Somerset and Scenic Rim in South East Queensland is the ultimate place to experience the magic and adventure of hot air ballooning. Enjoy a boutique ballooning experience, just 30 minutes from Brisbane CBD. 45 minutes prior to sunrise, your pilot will brief you and your fellow passengers on the plan for the morning ahead. After final weather checks by the pilot, you will then be taken to the chosen launch site, based on the mornings wind speed and direction. You may even be able to assist with the inflation of the balloon. Once the balloon is inflated, you will lift off for an unforgettable one hour ride. Whilst floating majestically and effortlessly, take in panoramic views of both the city and country.
As the world slowly awakens, you float peacefully overhead, witnessing the serenity in slow motion from the balloon basket. Soak in breathtaking views of the city of Ipswich and its heritage buildings and homes, as well as Flinders Peak, The Great Dividing and McPherson Ranges, Mount Tamborine, Moreton Bay, Brisbane skyline, the winding Brisbane and Bremer Rivers and more. Upon landing, you can choose to assist the crew in packing up the balloon or instead take photographs. The flight crew will then return you to Ipswich for a delicious restaurant breakfast. A commemorative flight certificate will be presented to each passenger to conclude the mornings activity.
If you have a medical condition that you feel may cause some concern (such as a heart condition) and you’re planning to fly, it is better to check with your doctor for an opinion on whether you should go. Disabled passengers are able to balloon, although limitations do apply due to the Civil Aviation and Safety Authority (CASA) regulations. CASA requires that all passengers are able to embark and disembark a balloon basket unassisted for safety reasons. No wheelchair facilities are available. Pregnant women. Regrettably under the Civil Aviation and Safety Authority (CASA) regulations and Floating Images' policy we do not fly women at any stage of their pregnancy.

This voucher is valid for two people. This is not a private or exclusive flight. There will be a minimum of four people and a maximum of 10 people only in the basket during your flight. In the event that minimum numbers are not met, the experience provider reserves the right to reschedule your experience for a later date.

If family or friends wish to join the after flight restaurant breakfast, bookings can be made direct with the supplier after your flight booking is confirmed - a minimum $25 per person restaurant breakfast charge for non-flying participants, with 24 hours notice required.
All passengers must telephone the booking office the night prior to the flight to confirm flight time and weather conditions. This experience is completely weather dependent. In the event of poor weather, the experience provider will reschedule your experience for a later date.
