Breathe in the fresh country air as a team of magnificent heavy horses guides you along scenic backroads and vineyard lined trails, revealing the beauty of one of Australia's most celebrated wine regions.

Savour a leisurely three hour journey that includes visits to three venues and two tasting experiences featuring regional wines and local produce. Depending on availability, stops may include renowned destinations such as Pokolbin Estate, Tamburlaine Organic Wines, McGuigan Wines, Sobels Wines, Pokolbin Village Smelly Cheese, the Pokolbin Chocolate Shop, Pokolbin Chocolate Factory or The Carriages Boutique Hotel and Vineyard.

Along the way, learn more about local winemaking while enjoying the flavours, scenery and warm hospitality that make the Hunter Valley so memorable. Perfect for couples, groups and anyone looking for a distinctive day out in wine country.

Important information

Session Length

This experience is three hours in duration
Please arrive 20 minutes prior to your scheduled departure
Morning tour is from 10am until 1pm
Afternoon tour is from 1.30pm until 4.30pm
Runs seven days per week

Guidelines

Participants must be 18 years and over to partake in the wine tasting as alcohol is involved; photo ID may be required
Please advise any dietary requirements at the time of booking
Any extra charges incurred by you or your group will be charged to your supplied credit card at the end of the day
Any discount or gift vouchers must be discussed at time of booking and surrendered to your driver on or before the day

Cancellation

Change your booking up to 14 days before the start time of your experience
Changes are not permitted within 14 days of your experience
Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

Numbers on the Day

This is a group ride with a minimum of two and a maximum of 44 participants.

Weather

In the event of rain or inclement weather, your experience will still go ahead unless contacted by the experience provider.

Fantastic horse and carriage ride

We were fortunate enough to be tge only 2 passengers. Our guide was very informative about the horses and the area. The ride was everything we hoped it would be and one winery in particular we visited was amazing. Highly recommend this ride.

Had a great arvo

Did the wine tasting tour today for my wife's birthday, turned out we were the only people booked in so we got a personal tour - score!! Jade, our guide was great - chatty, entertaining, informative & had great control over the horses. Went down a couple of trails off the main roads which was also good. Would definitely recommend for a morning or afternoon activity for couples or small group.

Chose this experience as a girls day which the 4 of us thoroughly enjoyed. The venues were great and the wines, cheeses and chocolates were delicious. The other people in the group were fun and friendly and Macca made the whole day enjoyable. Would do this again.
