What to Expect on Day: Your Blue Mountains day trip begins with ultimate flexibility. Depending on your group size, we will either meet you directly near the trailhead with our mobile delivery service (minimum 4 riders required), or you can utilize our flexible DIY pick-up (by pre-arrangement) Katoomba. Before hitting the dirt, every rider receives a "Better Rider" masterclass, including a custom helmet fitting and an in-person safety briefing (where possible) that teaches basic off-road skills. Once on the trail, this self-guided adventure puts you in total control. You’ll cruise along the relatively flat, winding fire-trails, surrounded by native bushland. Because you are on a premium pedal-assist electric mountain bike, the hills are completely flattened, allowing you to focus on the scenery rather than the sweat. The ride concludes at the breathtaking Baltzers Lookout. Here, you'll park the bikes and take a short stroll to the unfenced cliff edge to view the iconic Hanging Rock.

Please allow up to 3-4 hours from hello to goodbye for this experience.
This experience is only available at 9am (unless pre-arranged).

Restrictions

Age & Size Limits: Riders must be at least 10 years old and meet our minimum height requirement of 135cm to safely handle the bikes. The maximum weight capacity is 115kg.

Guidelines

Age Requirements: Minimum age is 10 years old. All participants under 18 must be accompanied by a participating adult.
Height & Weight: Strict size limits apply for e-bike safety. Minimum height is 135cm and maximum weight is 115kg.
Skill Level: Suitable for everyone from beginners to advanced riders. You must know how to balance and ride a standard bicycle.
Fitness Level: A basic level of fitness is required for the 16km trail, but thanks to the premium e-bike pedal-assist, there is absolutely no need to push your bike up hills!
Waiver & ID: A valid photo ID is required on the day, and all riders must complete an online waiver (terms and conditions) prior to departure.
Safety Policy: A strict zero-tolerance policy for alcohol and drugs applies prior to and during the ride.
Booking Confirmation: Once booked via RedBalloon, your reservation is entered into our direct system. If you haven't received a direct confirmation email from the operator within 5 days of booking, please contact us directly to confirm your status and trail schedule.
Pre-Ride Briefing: We email your final briefing and precise pin drop by 5:00pm the evening before your ride. If you haven't received this by 6:00pm the night prior, please reach out immediately.

Participant Guidelines & Requirements: Wondering if this is the right fit? Here is everything you need to know: Riding Ability: While the electric motor completely crushes the hills for you, this is still an off-road trail ride. Riders must know how to ride and balance a standard bicycle. However, zero prior mountain biking or e-bike experience is required! Fitness Level: Perfect for beginners and everyday adventurers. The pedal-assist technology makes exploring the Blue Mountains accessible and sweat-free. Dress Code: Fully enclosed footwear (hiking shoes recommended) is strictly mandatory for safety. We recommend comfortable activewear (no singlets and avoid lycra). Safety First: Every rider receives an in-person or video "Better Rider" masterclass + and in person refresher on the day (where possible), so you are completely confident with the e-bike controls before riding.

Cancellation

Change your booking up to 72 hours before the start time of your experience may be possible. Contact operator.
Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience
No cancellation due to weather conditions, unless its dangerous weather (heavy wind orlightning). If ride canceled due to dangerous weather, ride will be rescheduled where possible.

Numbers on the Day

Important Logistics & Flexible DIY Pick-Up: Our premium mobile delivery service to the Blackheath requires a daily minimum of 4 riders (combined across all bookings). If this minimum is not met, your adventure could absolutely still goes ahead! Instead, we may be able to offer our flexible DIY Pick-Up service located in Katoomba. This alternative offers fantastic PERKS for a relaxed day out (must be pre-arranged): Total Time Flexibility: Enjoy a much more relaxed schedule. Choose your own start and finish times without being tied to a strict delivery van itinerary. Choose Your Trail: You can easily transport the e-bikes yourselves to Blackheath for the Hanging Rock ride, or use this opportunity to switch things up and explore spectacular local trails right out of Katoomba. The Same Premium Care: You still receive our full "Better Rider" video masterclass. We always communicate with you well in advance to coordinate these details so your gift experience is completely seamless!

Weather

In the event of rain or inclement weather, the experience will still go ahead, unless dangerous weather is forecast, whereby you will contacted by the operator the day before to discuss.

Dress Code

Please bring sunglasses with you, and wear enclosed fl at shoes like Hiking shoes (preferred) or runners. No singlets and avoid lycra. This ride takes you into the Australian bush during the daytime, so it is recommended that you bring sunscreen for the ride.

Trail Verification: Before sending your briefing, we check with National Parks to confirm trail is open and clear of any maintenance work. Location & Transit: You will receive a precise Google Maps drop pin for your meeting location. For mobile service, the ride starts and fi nishes in the exact same spot.
