Get ready for a real life gold adventure! Leave from your pickup point in Creswick and travel by 4 x 4 OKA Tour Bus to the local gold bearing bushland. Once you arrive at the State Park the real adventure and search for gold begins. Good luck!

With over 30 years experience, this is one of the leading personalised gold prospecting adventures on the Victorian Goldfields. The experience us accompanied by an expert tour guide, who has been prospecting since 1980 and has found hundreds of ounces of gold during that time. You will learn many tips of the trade that the serious gold prospectors don’t want you to know about, plus some well kept secret locations revealed on the day. All this in a very small group with lots of personal one on one attention.

Session Length

This experience starts at 10am from Creswick and will finish around 4pm

Guidelines

Participants must be a minimum of 8 years of age and a basic level of fitness is required for walking.

Cancellation

Change your booking up to 7 days before the start time of your experience
Changes are not permitted within 7 days of your experience
Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

Numbers on the Day

This experience runs with groups of up to 12 people, with a minimum of 4 participants required for the tour to go ahead.

Weather

This experience may be affected by the weather. If this experience is postponed due to weather conditions the experience provider will confirm this with you the evening before your experience date.

Dress Code

Casual, comfortable clothing is recommended, and dressing in layers is a good idea. Please avoid steel-capped boots, as the metal in the toes will interfere with the detector.

Any gold you find on the day is yours to keep! Please email adventures@goldandrelics.com.au if you have any dietary requirements. Otherwise, a standard lunch will be provided.

The day tour was a very good experience. Well organized and and tour operator was very knowledgeable. The food supplied was nice and you got a reasonable amount of time to do some prospecting, which was really fun.

Darren is a very genuine and informative guide, and his knowledge was exceptional. The tour was very organised and we would recommend it to anyone who is looking to persue prospecting as a real hobby. He gave us really solid tips and we had a really decent amount of time trying out the detectors in good areas. Will highly recommend, great value for money!
