Ideal choice for us and we looked forward to it. After three attempts with COVID blocking our first we finally got to go. Very disappointed our second attempt was cancelled by red balloon as a “ tour not operating that day” explanation. Only to find out it did go that day as our friends were on it. Upon enquiring with the operator they had several spare seats and no idea why red balloon sent us an email stating we would have to reschedule. After that issue the operator requested we contact them first next time and they would ensure we were given correct information. Dealing with the operator direct was the key to a successful booking and three year’s later and an extra top up payment to red balloon, we took the tour and loved it. Jenny, our tour guide was so friendly, helpful, and always making sure everything was perfect for us! The food in Mason Winery was extraordinary, even though the wine tasting itself was a bit rushed, which was a shame. The other 2 wineries we visited were great. We highly recommend this experience with the Vino Bus.
★★★★★ ★★★★★ Recommended Wine tasting with 2 course lunch at Mt.Tamborine Sharon and Martin 1 October 2023 This experience was purchased as a birthday gift from family and it lived up to all my expectations. I took my husband along for the ride and he was quite amused to find out that the day would be spent with not only me but 10 other ladies 🤣 He built up a good rapport with our Vino bus driver David so all was good and I'm sure they enjoyed each other's company. All 3 wineries and the distillery we visited were excellent. Gibsons family owned winery, The Mount Nathan Winery was the first and the staff were so welcoming, giving a very informative account of what they have done over many generations. They provided us with a beauiful anti pasto platter to enjoy with our tastings. We also visited The Hamptons. This place is breathtakingly beautiful! A popular venue for Hens lunches and weddings both of which were happening on the day of our visit. Very happy vibes all round. We were served a 2 course leisurely lunch after our tastings, extra drinks could be purchased via table service and there was also a male duo belting out some good numbers. It was actually a shame to move on to the next winery which was Cedar Creek Estate. Again some lovely tastings and my biggest shout out of the day goes to a lovely young lady, Emalee. I believe she is the grandaughter on one of the owners? Her knowlege, at only 19 years of age, was unbelieveable. Our last port of call of the day was to the Distillery which boasts over 90 boutique spirits and liqueurs. All 4 experiences were absolutely brilliant. Staff were attentive and knowledgeable....it's evident they enjoy what they do! We are local Gold Coasters and have visited Tamborine Mountain several times over the years because we love it, but have never thought to do a wine tasting tour before. There are more wineries to visit and I wouldnt hesitate to do another tour at some stage. There was only one negative I reluctantly have to report and that was after being told because we were on a Vino bus tour we would get 10% of purchases at the Cedar Creek Estate. That didn't happen...but it would have only been a saving of $12 so I'm letting that go...it's not worth the whinge and 'wine' 😅

Lunch was served around 2pm which was after three tastings - a bit late in the day in my opinion. It was a great experience, would definitely visit one of the cellar doors again.
